Superb phone. This was my daily driver for a good while. Its still a better phone than the junk phones they release these days like the X5 and X5 Pro. The SD870 chip is still a top tier chip, performance won't be an issue.

Well if it uses the SD7 gen 2 it will be a fail.

SD8+ or SD 8+2 it would be a winner.

I bought over 100 F3 8/256 for less than 183 as I ended up with slot of points and claimed Vat back.

Also flogged the free wireless mice I got with them still have a lot if those left.

I prefer it over the F4.
The F3 is easy to change the battery to a 33w 5000mha battery from xiaomi for about 20 ir less.
33w is fast enough and since I had so many late packages I had headphones (redmi buds 3 pro are amazing and have great anti kiss features so no more lost buds and only 29 on amazon now)
I also got some 33w 10,000mha power banks that charge at 23 for free and those are great.

A friend had an F4GT and it throttled like crazy and on games had a lower fos, screen was dimming, was getting crazy hot and the benchmark was lower.

He sent it back and he got an F3

The F3 is working great on android 13 / M14

You have to debloat it and set it up right but it's easy.

I highly recommend a nillkin frosted case from Ali Exp and a Nillkin screen protector.

If in the UK and want it fast just buy whatever from amazon and send it back, ibywind glass is good from amazon. And so are spigen cases but can be pricy.

Xiaomi used to do a deal if you dropped a screen by accident or damaged it they would replace it within 6 months one time for free.

I did buy about 59 F4s on sale for under 270 with a free 67w charger, sold the phones after some months for just under 400 and could sell the chargers for 30 pounds.

People should make sure to always keep the xiaominusb cable in the charger otherwise it gets pricy, I think they use the same system as Huawei but instead of android phone company's just using a standardised qualcomm quick charge maybe they had to pay royalty so all use their own fast chargers.

The 67w xiaomi has a 5th contact on the USB A, you can find them cheap from aku but need to ask if it has the 5th contact.

Due to xiaomi and snapdragons modabikity these phones could last a long time and are made with quality components like the Samsung screen and good speakers.

The SD870 chip is still the 2nd fastest SD chip during real life use in the UK and it's still amazing at playing games at ultra levels and for power users, that and the fast ram.

The cam is nit great but not bad and most people don't know the F3 has a directional mic at the front.

No real upgrade with the F4 and I was so surprised it turned out to be the same phone.

It's like the first time in history during the 183 deal when the pounds value was even lower it was cheaper than any other nation including China.
It's rare to get a good deal in the UK, most people buy scrappy phones that last a couple of years for low use in the 180 pound range.

    If the F5 /6/7has the Snapdragon 7 series I won't be buying.

Realme, one plus and oppo are all great phone makers. The Chinese market only xiaomi phones with SD chips are also great just no 2 year warrantee.

The mediate dimensity chips past the dimensity 8100 perform great and are at a good cost buut no custom roms and can't fully bootload it.

I have 2 experiences with the Xiaomi/Huawei warrantee repair facility in the UK (they do both brands)

My screen got bad on my flagship killer hauwei that's now 6 years old and they replaced it super fast and even changed to battery plus I got an extra 6 months.

1 guy I sold an F4 to, well he dropped his with just the stock case and lives in uni halls, called them to get the case delivered to him for pickup but that went south until he got it sent to his mother's then he sent it off for free, last I heard is that the repaired it all as it was one if the last phones so he sold with the 1 time breakage warrantee fir efreens and said they fully repaired it and even replaced sine parts tk make it look nice.

In today's marker if you want a good phone with a good 2 year warrantee then while 259 sounds steeonits a much better deal than a lot of other phones.

It's the only phone that had had a big enough screen with HD amoled and 2 pairs of good sterio dolby atmos speakers that I could watch shows and TV on when traveleninf and it being a decent experience.

A good tip would be just to buy a phone from Ali with a SD+1 or 2 like a xiaomi K50 or 60 with high ram and Ron then flashing it to EU rom, can't close the bootloader but your banking apps and stuff will work fine with the EU rom.

But can only flash roms if its a SD chip.
But it is easy to change a Chinese mediate dimensity chip phone to English and put Google whatever on, will need a debloat.
I personally dislike Google and can find better open apps.

But the downside is the Chinese government spying on you (maybe more than they allready are)

I just had a little panic. I put the phone on charge out of the box and it wasn’t responding. Luckily, after a few minutes it showed it was charging. Phew. I’m guessing mine was old stock for sure.

That does happen when the phone is completely dead. It's happened with my brand new S23+. Usually takes about 10 seconds and then charges. Only when its completely dead.

This is in a different league and you won't find a SD870 powered device anywhere for this kind of money. I paid a lot less then this for 8/256 GB, but that doesn't mean this isn't a deal in the current market.

Bought F3 8/256 last year cheaper than this for the old folk. This price should be F4 8/256 by now but needed a replacement urgently so bought the recently expired Amazon deal. F5 will be out very soon so expect prices to fluctuate on old stock.

Poor offers from this company not seen anything good from them for a long time.

Even the budget phones are a lot higher price wise or they are only offering 4gb ram these models people should stay clear 6 should be minimum now.

I picked one of these up which was 8gb/256 for £190

For an older model which would be clearance now these should be decreasing in price plus these have some annoyings issues (edited)

Time machine comments aside this seems like a good value for money in this price range. AMOLED screen, SD870 processor, 4K recording to name a few strong points. Other worthy contenders at this price would be OPPO Find X5 lite and Pixel 6a. (edited)

Got one on one of the deals last year (cheaper than this iirc):

Whilst it's not a "bad" phone, it's gone the same way as my last couple of Xiaomi's - great battery at the start, but the drop off after 6 months use is terrible. My F3 now has to be charged by mid afternoon after taking it off charge at 7:30am, and that's not with particularly heavy use. It used to easily last a full day when new.

Had particularly bad issues with the proximity sensor on my F3 too.

Often the case, they'll let you use it once, sometimes twice.

Better to just register another account or just send yourself a friend invitation to another email address.
You'll then get a £15 coupon to use for anything and the account sending it also gets a voucher when it's used to buy something.
