There's a good deal for the impact driver with battery, charger and case for £99.99, so you could get both and share the battery until you can afford more. DeWalt Brushless 3 Speed Impact Driver - PowerToolMate . That would be a good starting point for a DeWalt collection, just need a drill for the main basics!

Thanks OP. Unless you know you will be using it no where near a power point or extension lead, then a corded version of any make is going to be cheaper and better.

A tool with a plug on it does not always guarantee its going to be better than a cordless equivalent. I have this saw and in my workshop the corded B&D I also own doesn't get used anymore because the Dewalt is the more capable of the two.

Great price, bar an Amazon misprice (£60 taking into account the 2x5ah batteries), the cheapest I've seen it was "a year ago" on eBay for £126.
