I bought iPhone 13 Pro pristine condition 4 months back. Looks like new battery was 100 percent and apple warranty is still there till aug 2023.

Ordered an iPhone 12 @ Excellent condition from them over Easter. Despite their 90 point check, the phone camera did not work (juddery image and OIS kept re-adjusting causing a horrible squeaking noise). Emailed them with videos and they suggested sending it back and they would send another one. Never received the Royal Mail label but noticed that the warranty was still active on the phone till Sept 2023, so decided to get it fixed at Apple Store under warranty after checking that did not invalidate Mozillion's 24 month warranty (for whatever that's worth) On the plus side, phone was scratch-free, still had apple warranty and had a 100% battery health!

yep there is usually always a reason the original buyer returned it. Glad you got it fixed. I would guess mine was returned because it has the bezel gap problem but I'm hoping Apple will fix that too before end of warranty and maybe I'll score a replacement with 100% battery I can punt on ebay ;-)
