looks like a nice little get away for that money, does this do the unlimited drinks for a fee too ?

They do sell a drinks package but, personally, I wouldn't get one. Obviously, whether it's value or not will depend on how much you would normally drink.
The package works out at about the cost of 8 pints of beer. If you, and the person that you are sharing the cabin with, would each drink more than that - even on a shore day, then get the package, otherwise, I'd just PAYG (edited)

    That's not the med.

I know it's not really Mediterranean but Seascanner states it is . Still a very good price for 4 Nights away from England...

Not sure Bruges and Paris can be considered a Med cruise, but still a good price.

Great value but it’s not the Med, it’s the English Channel.
    Still, I wouldn’t mind going.

I know Bruges if often referred to as the 'Venice of the North' but....

    So is Hull.

I'm struggling to find times of departure and arrival from Southampton. Does anyone who's booked this have those details?
    steadyeddie's avatar
Apparently it departs at 16.30 and returns at 07.00

Misleading advertising - this goes no where near the Mediterranean

I've never understood how they claim it docks near Paris, that must be an awfully long bus ride!

Did this a few years ago when it was more appropriately called a cruise taster. Its OK but Le Havre is pretty boring and transfer to Paris, if you want to do that is a long way. Same with Zeebrugge, boring port but resonably closer to Brugge. Not really a Med cruise but if you want to find out whether cruising is for you its a good option. We decided it wasnt for us, but all down to what you want from a holiday really.

We have done 2 cruises that have called at Zeebrugge. As you say, Zeebrugge itself is nothing to get excited about but we have done trips to Brugges and Ghent, both of which were very pleasant
Whilst we haven't called at Le Have, I believe that Honfleur (that is close by) is well worth a visit - but I can't speak from personal experience.
I would imagine that you could get a tour of the D-day landings from Le Havre as well, if you are into that kind of thing (edited)

    Definetely not a med cruise!

"...the place where Titanic took off on its maiden voyage in 1912."
    Well that's reassuring!

With the weekend, bank holiday and 2 school strike days this would be a brilliant price to take kids away and only miss one day of school- if it wasn't adults only!! Great price still
  13. McFlufftang's avatar
This isn't a Med cruise as per the description.

I tried notifying the admins that the title needed to be changed as it's misleading and they replied to say it's fine as it is
  14. Haircut_100's avatar
Pretty poor advertising this as a "Mediterranean cruise" when it goes nowhere near the mediterranean! It's a cruise across the English Channel to Northern France and Belgium, ridiculous and misleading to label it as a med cruise.

I came to say the same as everyone else, your savings can be used for thermals
    Burgmeister's avatar
Hmm, living in the UK and requiring thermals for Belgium and the Netherlands at the end of April/ beginning of May? You must really struggle at home each winter!

Do you have to have European visa for this cruise? Or it is included in the service? Or you dont need it?
    joyf4536's avatar
Depends if you've used your 90 days or not (if British passport being used) There wouldn't be time if you have anyway, even if one could understand the process. (edited)

No kids allowed, shame as it works well with BH and inset day!
