I have this phone currently and honestly I wish I listened to the reviews. I’m not a heavy phone user but the battery on these are so bad. I wouldn’t touch one with a battery life anywhere near 80% mines 94% and you don’t get a day out of it.

sorted by- I’ve had mine for maybe two years now. Battery life is a consideration and I’ll upgrade to a 13 mini when they come down in price a bit. But despite being what I’d call a heavy user I have managed fine - occasionally chuck a small battery pack or cable into my bag if I know I’m going to be out all day, otherwise it’s fine. The advantages of the smaller form factor outweigh the smaller battery for me.
Just checked - bought in Dec 2020 so that’s coming up for 2.5 years. Battery life is 86%. - Am interested to know how battery life compares to the iPhone 8 and iPhone SE which are a similar size (battery life was always going to be bad compared to 6"+ phones)I’ve had the iPhone 8 and the original SE, the battery life was better than both.
- iPhone 6+ is better than this. I've been using it since 2014. Still battery hold charge for more than 2+ days..
- great phone and i love it.
i do charge it on the way to work. and at work. and on the way home. and overnight
battery lasts a whole day though for me - you lot must just be really heavy usersThe battery is acceptable if you are at home. If you go outside and have to use 5g or bluetooth, then the battery lasts half a day. - I know second-hand are a lottery in terms of quality, but GiffGaff (certainly use to) have an extremely loose definition of the adjective "good". "Good" for GiffGaff is their lowest quality phone. It's a disappointing use of the adjective "good", in my experience, so be cautious. Thankfully, their returns policy is largely hassle-free.
- Ordered this in a “good” condition at 11am, it was with me at lunch time the next day. 100% battery health and perfect condition. Not a scratch in sight, disappointed to read the other comments where others have received phones in not so good conditions
- Just got this in the post, it’s like a brand-new phone, hundred percent battery life and I can’t see any scratches on the screen or body, I’ve got the blue one 64 gig and came with a USB chargerSame here, was very surprised when I opened it.
- Just ordered in ‘As New’ condition for £249 plus £10 goody bag. Comes with 24 month warranty. Upgrading from 2020 SE (with smashed back glass) that will be sold on. (edited)Me too. Thanks
- I bought this in like new condition yesterday, and it’s literally brand new. It has the original apple packaging still in tact. Seals and everything. That’s insane for £249!What is the battery percentage?
- Very good experience with 3 or 4 iPhones from GiffGaff. Unlike Music Magpie.
- Very decent price
- I bought one second hand to try out and sell on and got to agree with the battery life comment.. I considered getting one of the MagSafe battery extender things you stick on the back but kind of defeats the object of having a “small” form factor phone.. but the performance was fine in all other aspects and it is cool having a smaller phone..
- I have this phone, love it. Battery isn't great but just plan around that.
- My regular 12 is now 2.5 years old and battery has always been rubbish but since I drive around a lot it’s always plugged in my car and topped up. The phone seems to drain battery a lot more after an os update but stabilises after a few days
