Got one last week for the same price. Works well, easy to use (tool less) and as fast as you'd expect at around 450mb/s.

I have been using enclosures with JMicron chips for almost 2 years and I have not had any problem in Opensuse. Actually I load the whole operative system from the external hard drive, it's installed there.

This wont accomodate a 5TB drive will it? It states 14.5mm height. 5TB drives are 15mm themselves. Any one use them for the larger drive sizes?

Well that's annoying, ordered one of these last week when it was £8.18, chose a USB-C model but got sent one with that extra wide Micro-B. Returned it and ordered one off eBay for a similar price.

Can confirm it uses a JMicron chip. The enclosure is constructed well enough for the price and it being plastic, not sure it would survive a drop to a solid surface though as the cover only barely clips on.
