Paid £50 more in January 2020, pretty sure I’ve seen p52s for this price in the last year, I definitely wouldn’t spend this much for one nowadays

7 year old cpu..... For this price... What am I missing that makes this worth over 3 ton, not to mention the battery life....

Refund if battery is gash. Powerful little laptop.

The CPU is old, but it's a H one, so a good CPU. However, it will drain the battery, and given how old this laptop is, I have some hesitations about the battery. The RAM and storage are great. But I don't think the price is right. Personally, I prefer a more up to date laptop. If the CPU was a couple of generations newer, maybe, however, as it stands, maybe £100 less is a fairer price. The fair price for this machine as-is, I would probably gauge at around £250-270, then it's under the magic £300 mark and still has plenty to offer. 6th gen quad-core is not a bad chip even by modern standards, but it does lack some video decoding features I believe, and of course, no official Windows 11 support.

What you paid for x amount of years ago is irrelevant. Ever heard of 'Very High Inflation'. Christ, Sony became the first console maker to INCREASE their prices. (edited)

See above, the P52 refurbs were cheaper than this a few months ago, regardless of inflation. This is on the expensive side for a P50, even though it's still a solid workhorse.

    Overpriced for what it is.

I bought (twice the RAM and storage of BadMF's + Win11 above at £227) this a couple of months ago for £295.

Every time I see a laptop deal I wonder if I overpaid...but every time I use it I'm delighted for under £300.

Great condition, nice screen and keyboard and is plenty quick enough for windows 11 and office apps. Spec is only part of the story, this laptop is just really nice to use.

Battery wise, I don't know...I use it as a desktop replacement and only use it to work on one work account. I wouldn't want to carry it anywhere anyway, it's heavy!

I was worried about Windows 11 on such an old CPU, I did a full reset (remove everything, cloud download) and it wiped the pc and reinstalled win11 fine.

I don't think this was a 'deal', but a good solid, pleasant laptop at an acceptable price.

For context, I also use a HP Elite book, Surface Pro and a good desktop.
