Anyone own the 150mm circular saw, any good?

No it isn't. I used to use Ryobi until I switched to Milwaukee and I never realised how bad Ryobi is. They are basically kids toys compared to others. I've had the circ saw and it burns out so quick. A Screwfix cheap brand titan is even better than this. Ryobi is only good for utility power tools like radios, lights etc. All the working tools are extremely inferior in comparison to others. Don't waste your money on this cheap circ saw, it's honestly terrible.

Recently jumped aboard the ryobi train thanks to a nail gun deal on here a few months ago. Now have an impact driver that performs better than my old Makita, a circular saw that I used to build a wardrobe and cut scaffolding boards and gave a good consistent straight cut, and just recently got that lawnmower/strimmer deal and happy with the performance of those too.

Not a tradesman so can only give an opinion from a DIY perspective but so far I've been happy with the brand and would in no way say they're toys. I think a lot of those types of comments come from tribalism tbh, humans love to adopt "my club good, so your club bad" positions.

I don't want to end up buying a bunch of different brand batteries but if there's a good deal for a tool I need elsewhere in the future I'll probably look at getting an adapter you can fit onto the battery to make it compatible.

Works well. Nicely balanced. Handle length adjustment and head angle adjustment make it easy to get a good stance with it and avoid the usual stooped back pain that I used to get with my old one. Would definitely recommend.

I don't get why this isn't the normal price. Over 100 tools in the collection, only 3 are ever on offer and 5-6 tatty ones they offer as free tools.

In America Ryobi is a cheap brand, in the UK they try to Masquerade just below premium price point. Even with shipping and taxes it's still slightly cheaper to import them, it's stupid. (edited)

You wouldn't know where to import them from would you? Been wanting some of the US bits as they seem to have more brushless options.

How's the reciprocating saw? Was looking at that for some garden pruning of a haggered old hedge that's been hacked to bits, and is very 'woody'. Figured the recip saw might have more use(for normal diy) than the pruning saw they sell.

Once again in this thread, it's a good tool and I would happily buy another if it came back into stock! Very powerful for its size but needs the bigger batteries. Had some issues with the blade release tab getting stuck with sawdust but probably an issue with all these recips.

Nothing says ‘celebrate the coronation’ like an impact driver

I have dewalt tools and on christmas I bought bunch of ryobi for £200 deal and I can tell you now I'm coming back to ryobi as I bought battery adapter from dewalt to ryobi to use on my big deawalt batteries with ryobi. Tools are cheaper than big brand and for dyi do all the job you want it to do! Getting caulking gun and grinder this time
