Funny, your comment wasn't taken down by moderators. There's not much freedom of speech here (edited)

Issue is some users are paying £10.99 for this stuff it’s well worth pointing out imo

I set a washing line in this. Dug down about 80 cm. Set the socket and left it for 3 days. Put the lightweight line up and first line of washing. It wasn't heavy. Big crack appeared. What did I do wrong?

It'll be the earth around your concrete letting the mix flex. You need to pack the mix down once you've added water too. Trust me I'm a fencer digging holes and using post mix all day 🏼

Yet another post for something at its normal price

This is postcrete, not a post

Sorry but this isn't really a deal
Standard price at several other places.
I even get 20% off at Toolstation

How do you get 20% off at Toolstation? is it a trade account or something else?

Same price at Wickes. Credit due to whoever it was that pointed out these two retailers to the OP this afternoon.

something seriously wrong with this site now that’s normal price and has been for Eons
  8. Proveright's avatar
Thanks OP. I saw earlier post too. B&Q is easier to get to than Wickes for me.

Good spot, Wickes was best price for a while but not everywhere has a Wickes. Gone through 60 odd bags & need more so good to know B&Q have it for a reasonable price too..

Can I use this for a slab for shed outside? Need for about 12 m²
    Newmz's avatar
You'd be better off mixing cement. This will cure far too quickly for the finish you'd want, I'm assuming.
  12. chatbot-tom's avatar
There’s some great YouTube videos showing how to lay a slab with just cement, a rake and a fine water spray. (edited)

But how long would that last? It would start crumbling over time as I’ve seen it done years ago.
Just do it properly with sand cement and aggregate.
  13. cigbunt's avatar
My local stores some of the staff where discounting open bags to £1 basically nothing missing. I got cement, post create, and sand for £3

My concrete post is badly damaged. would this "plaster" it and repair it? Will it stick?
    davew2011's avatar
It’s for securing posts in the ground, it won’t work like a glue if that’s what you’re asking (edited)

Over 300 heat votes, that’s a lot of people with money to burn!

This is slightly above the normal price, deffo not a deal (edited)
  16. buckham_uk's avatar
£4.50 c+c from my house if anyone wants any 😄
  17. Orange_swan's avatar
If this is the normal price then HUKD should remove it, as that's what they did to me when I put a product at it's normal price
  18. danieldtaylor's avatar
Why is this a deal? It’s been this price for ages and is pretty much the same price everywhere else

Did anyone receive email with money off spend vouchers from B&Q? If you're not going to be using please can you dm me, many thanks
    TehJumpingJawa's avatar
    You mean B&Q club vouchers?
I'm almost certain they're tied to the club account to which they're issued.

I suggest setting up a few dozen accounts (using an email address provider that supports aliasing, such as gmail).
Doing this I pretty reliably get at least one £10 off £30 spend voucher whenever a round of vouchers is sent out.
