All Fence Discounts, Offers and Sale - December 2018
I agree, my neighbour decided to give one of these a try painting their fence and the mess they made below it on their newly built decking was laughable. The patio area and fence still looks a right right mess after they gave up.
Big word of advice. Be prepared to get complaints from neighbours. Using these types of things outside with the slightest of breeze and you’ll cover cars, windows, etc. Make sure you spray on a calm day, whenever that happens.
Someone posted the tool box a few mins before I did: hotukdeals.com/deals/20-stanley-toolbox-instore-at-bm-for-5-3091146
Probably not store specific as it is on their website at £5.
Is the toolbox store specific?
Just for future reference on homebase deals: My store showed 36 in stock when i ordered 10, the website does not subtract those orders until paid so will still show stock when they have none. I got my ten because they did it on a first ordered basis, i recieved my ten despite others being turned away because i ordered sooner than them.
These are now showing at £1.35 with decent stock level in London. I've got these, definitely worth the money. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07B9V9YCZ?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title
Not good! I may instead invest in mpow solar lights when I across a deal.
Got a call from Homebase, shawbridge, glasgow and was advised they have none in stock even though i was on way to collect them! Amazing service...not!!
I reserved 28 yesterday for my garden. They called today to say they are out of stock but the person on thephone had already been told by the manager that i can have the round lightware fence lights for the same price (was £3 then £1.50). Maybe it's worth asking for This? These ones https://www.homebase.co.uk/lightware-solar-fence-light_p488882
I've used the Medium Oak on my new fence recently when it was £3.99 @ Poundstretcher. Very good paint looks good and dries quickly. Holding up well to the rain too. Managed to paint both sides of the fence (equivalent to around 3-4 fence panels) including the sides of the doors and a further 4 fences and still had a bit left so definitely lasts long.
I know they are different products that was the point I was making.id rather pay more for a better product.never tried fencelife plus so can't comment on it.ive used ducks back on rough and smooth wood that I've patched a shed with and is fine.never would use a sprayer but my neighbor does.sprays all over my side on Wendy house plants ect.
Pure rubbish it just doesn’t last and that’s the problem You spend so much time putting it on only for it to be washed away in one or two showers I use decking PAINT Looks and lasts for about 3 ye
Coloured water.. get some cuprinol in the 10 l drums from dulux trade centres, yes its lot dearer but watch the water slide off, it actually water beads up.. it will last 4 times this coloured water. Who wants to paint shed fence every year? You will if use the dirt cheap fence paints.
(cheeky) What does it do?
Thanks for this
Agreed - I've used this previously and it's a complete waste of time compared to solvent based treatments unfortunately!
Yeah 1 is 6 quid but 3 is 22. Where did they learn maths
I put 2 coats of this on start of summer and it's fine.Hasnt run off so far.Very good price.
Hmmm im not sure i didnt get any but thinking back it could be
I don’t know anything about this Black & Decker one but I have the ERBAUER ERB561SRG from screwfix and I would never go back to tedious brushing or pump sprayers- heat added.
Are these any good? I bought a pump one but it would chuck so much paint on you still had to go over it with a brush to get rid of the runs, I gave up in the end.
I've just picked on up from the North Shields store. Was still listed on the shelf as £39.99, but scanned at £20. Thanks!
Cracking price, useful tool for a very tedious job.
Loads in Irvine store today
Online too, with topcashback too! Forest oak colour Harvest brown colour
Have a look on facebook, a yard near me was selling 6x6 for £26, , check local builders merchants
@deanos / @Chumba_Wumba would you mind pointing me in the right direction for the featheredge panels, please? I can't seem to find them that cheap. Thanks in advance
go and buy featheredge closeboard panels, theyre about 5 or 6 quid more a panel, if you shop around at your local timber, or trade fencing supplier, but worth the extra money....throw in some one foot gravel boards and some steel reinforced concrete posts, and you've got yourself a fence that should last twice as long, at least.
Is Wickes gonna be around in 10 years
As above I found Ronseal very thin and its not one coat if you want it looking good, much prefer ducksback. Usully but ducksback at £10.
Harvest brown also a tenner and silver copse 8 quid on Amazon, same link
Autumn gold colour is a tenner delivered at amazon if you are a prime member. Gotta be worth a go if you don't happen to live next door to a wilko? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cuprinol-Ducksback-Waterproof-Sheds-Fences/dp/B006LX2XK0/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1535054670&sr=8-1π=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=cuprinol+ducksback+autumn+gold&dpPl=1&dpID=611frsj7sYL&ref=plSrch
We started off with Ronseal but didn't like it at all as the consistency is pretty much like water. It splashed everywhere and needed 3 coats. Then bought Ducksback which is better, though still not great. I'd go with Ducksback.
Is Ronseal one coat any good or this is significantly better? Ronseal is about £5-8 for 9L
Major bags are somewhere between 20Kg and 25Kg, they definitely vary a bit in weight.
Roughly 25kg they told me.
Not very big. Better off going to b and m and getting 3 for £10
Great offer ... Heat added (highfive) ... I get another 20% to as my dad works for them to
how big is a major bag ?
thanks OP, I need to buy more after painting my fence
Save on delivery if you can collect
Good deal i got a 5ltr tin from BQ £8 a few days a go so hot though mine was (Rustic brown)
You can start with any of them really - the stories are pretty standalone. The first one is probably the weakest game but the easiest place to start. I'd hold off on Megadimension VII for now as the enhanced version (VIIR) will probably end up on Steam eventually.
Rebirth 1, 2 & 3 and Megadimension are the core games of the series. The gameplay is very similar in all of them. The others are spin-offs, with different styles of gameplay. These games are all about the funny characters and story, the gameplay is nothing special. I would start with Rebirth 1 and see if you like it, otherwise you won't know who the characters are.
Which Hyperdimension would be the best to buy?
This is a total bargain. Here are all the deals this weekend: Might be worth turning this into a combined deal?
"It's freezing in here" "You only feel cold because you are stupid" Best line in a game, ever.
Not the best of panels but on a near impossible budget & to keep the dogs from ripping up the garden they’ll do. Unless someone wants to buy me 3 3x6 strong panels that is?!!
Just a few notes that might help your decision to buy or not, I have over 15 years in the fence panel manufacturing business. 4” fence posts are not necessary with 6x6 waney edge fence panels 3” are fine but it is important to make sure you have a minimum of 18” in the ground, you may need a longer post if you garden is sloping. Feather edge fence panels or close board fencing (rails fixed to posts then individual feather edge boards fixed to the rails) are much stronger and require 4” posts but not as decorative as waney lap panels but ideal for exterior boundaries. Pressure treated panels with a 25 year guarantee are a waste of time as the fixings nails/staples which hold the panels together will rust away after about 5 years and the panels will start to fall apart. Water based preservatives are rubbish you need to get oil into the wood to protect timber, old fashioned creosote is by far the best preservative or a 50/50 mixture of modern creosote substitute and used engine oil (wear gloves when applying) the panels will be a dark brown colour and the rain will bounce off ! The oil will also protect the fixings from rusting. If you want a pretty coloured fence then use the water based “preservatives” and renew panels every few years. The wickes panels are rubbish compare panels for quality at local Builders/timber merchants.
If you find the product on their website you can search if they are in stock at your nearest store, then just go down and choose the best ones yourself
the Tiverton Jewson branch had these for £10.60 plus vat and another design less than £8 plus vat
These are fit the saying 'you get what you pay for' perfectly, they are a pile of c***, your just have to replace them in a couple of years, which is how they make their money.
Yeah it's quite shiny.gave my old shed a revamp.
Picked up two myself. Dark Oak colour. Only about 8 left at 11am in Derry/Londonderry
Does it give a good shine? Almost like a gloss? I must look into that, thanks
True I find duck's back to be loads better.slightly more expensive but times saving with less coats.lasts longer too.
This is ok! It like coloured animal fat its more off a stain only , doesnt give any shine or seem to be protection , i painted alot with this & its more like two coats instead off one coat wood stain, i wish i put on a more glossy finish and didnt waste about 30hrs off painting with this, good deal on this so heat added
But the deal was 2 tins for £17......almost half the price you paid
I dithered too long when it was down to £6, back up to £10 now.
Its £15 a tin in B&Q anyways so no deal at all thats there standard price I piked 2 tins up yesterday from B&Q for £30
Wouldn't do it for me, told him at was wickes selling it and he was trying to find the product, then told him the price and he said oh no we are the same company so won't price match. Think the price was too low more like!
How do you do the price match at b&q please ? as my wickes is miles away and need some extra paint.
I'm normally a fan of Creoseal but after having to repaint my fence after only two years cos it faded, think I may have to question my loyalties. :o
Ben N Jerrys have branched out! Or its a completely original new fence flavour!
Haven't taken any pics yet with two coats.
I've painted my fence and gate with this in the last month. Looks really good and even looked okay with just one coat (still finishing the second). Harvest gold is basically orange.
This paint is cheap for a reason.. absolute rubbish. Cuprinol all day in my opinion.
Was able to order but not too sure I will get it. Will probably get a cancellation email. Thanks for posting op
Gutted Out of stock. Been looking for a nice play house
