Pressure-washed to get all the green off on day one and stained next day. I wouldn't however buy this watery Ronseal, it's really like coloured water. I use Johnstone's Woodworks Trade (around £10 for 5 Litres) which is much thicker, so does take longer to apply, but lasts much longer

You can paint your fence anytime of the year and you can also complain any time of the year if you do it at the wrong time. Chemistry and physics are essentially constant within its laws - you can paint the fence in winter or summer and have problems or you can paint it in Spring/Autumn and have less problems due to the fact temperature makes a difference in viscosity and absorption along with several other factors.

12-13 degrees in near the lower limits, fine to do, better if it was around 20 degrees

Would that work this time of year? Or would it be too cold and better to do it when completely dry? Gonna pressure wash my fence first, but was going to leave it to dry completely.

I've had that in the past, Wednesbury B&Q is notorious for this, so are many Argos stores. It is essentially staff seeing it as a deal and cancelling the order so they/family member can buy it. Report it, I did this once with Argos before I stopped shopping their and got a £10 voucher.

Careful with this stuff. I carefully tried it on my fence but both mine and neighbour"s white UPVC window frames conservatories were covered in dots of the stuff. Took ages to rub off

This can be painted on easily. Used Harvest Gold for the last 4 years. B&Q …This can be painted on easily. Used Harvest Gold for the last 4 years. B&Q price fluctuates throughout the year between 10 quid to lowest 4 quid (as now). I have only ever bought at 4 quid. Some places like Poundstretcher occasionally stock this same 5L Ronseal at 3 quid but they've never stocked Harvest Gold. Check them out if you want one of the dark run o the mill colours.Just checked in our shed and I've only half a tub left, so thanks for the heads up, I'll go and get a couple tubs. Only because I know it won't go below 4 quid. In a couple weeks or so it will be 6 quid. You wait and see! Oh, if you're wondering why Harvest Gold, it simply makes the fence look like you've just bought a new one! I hate the dark oak and brown colours, might as well have used the old fashioned dark brown creosote - oh gawd, that used to stink! Why would you want a fence to look so old fashioned ?

I tend to find that the Ronseal Harvest Gold looks like fresh runny babies nappies once you painted it on rough wood panels. Just looks horrible with waxy finish. Can't imagine if you wanted a fancy change later . May look new every year but it always will remind me of that. Lucky, I only tested a small patch before returning the lot for traditional creosote. Even a tenant of my mates house agreed that I had to stop using this on a job I was working on at the time, the tenant was horrified the moment I was painting this , I still see that face , it wasn't my choice but my mates choice to buy this because it was cheap & didn't know better. The tenants had to live in that house & wouldn't be happy with the finish especially when their friends & family visited. I agreed on this with the tenant on mutual ground on the funny choice of colour & it won't be on my own fences either.

Buy cheap, buy twice with extra workload. I'm a traditionalist at heart. Even coloured wood stains is just a fashion fad for a while.
Thank you just ordered 4 🏻 We always use this and found it to be great stuff

Good luck with that claim.

Despite knowing full well that it is the retailers job to put any issues right under your statutory rights (forget their store policy), this attitude is what retailers rely on.

This applies with everything you buy - know your rights, back yourself, use a free complaint website like Resolver to keep your issue and the retailer's responses in writing (making it a 5 minute job to raise the case), and then escalate to an Ombudsman at the earliest opportunity if/when they refuse. An Ombudsman can also award additional compensation for any time you have wasted from their refusal to put this right.

The law is so clear on this, yet many fail to enforce the statutory rights they paid for when they bought the item.

How did you install them? I put up 6 in our garden and they are still standing 2 years later, and we live on top of a hill where it's extremely windy.

I dug down 2 foot and postcreted new 8ft fence posts in, then in the middle of every 3 panels I screwed in a diagonal brace behind the middle fence post. The braces were 2 more fence posts and were also postcreted in. I used green outdoor screws with 3 brackets each side of each panel. Thing has withstood storm after storm in the windiest place I have ever lived (we moved here 2 years ago, first thing I did was erect a new fence as the previous had blown down).

Get concrete posts with the recess in them for the fence. Won't blow over …Get concrete posts with the recess in them for the fence. Won't blow over and when they get old and knackered you just slide them up and out and slot a new one in. My neighbour keeps replacing his fence like every year because he has wooden fence posts. They literally rip the supporting batten off the post every time theres wind more than 20mph

Make sure you add some wedges between the post and the panel. First it stops wobbles and secondly it makes them harder to steal. Mate woke up one morning and somebody had stolen all 16 panels from the side of his house.
I used these 2 years ago, still going strong, used 3 X L shaped fence brackets on each side and they have held up really well, sure there are probably better but if you're in a budget and can install these properly they will last against a storm

Regarding Fairy Fencer F, is it worth paying little more for the Fairy …Regarding Fairy Fencer F, is it worth paying little more for the Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force version or are they different games? Thanks

From Gamefaqs forums:

"The first, and largest change to the game is the addition of 2 completely new 2nd half story paths, which is determined by the number of furies that you remove from the evil god before reaching the point of no returnhalfway into the original game. Before reaching that point in thegame, if you remove 6 or more furies, but not all of them from the evil god takes you into his route, while removing ALL of the furies from the evil god, and winning the battle doing so triggers takes you into the false goddess route. As the original game had you completely lose one character you can never regain after the first half of the game, and several you could only get in the second half, the new game+ function did not allow you to keep allies when the story wouldn't allow their usage from plot. that too has been changed. the party members exclusive to one route you have "completed" supposedly now DO get carried on to NG+ replays regardless of story nay-says, and as there is at least one completely new playable character to collect from the new paths, have fun!

They've seriously upgraded the difficulty of the extra boss fights of the "not really optional" furies that were originally from Lola's far too easy to accidentally miss one or more of sidequests, which appear to no longer be so easily miss able, thankfully. again, NG+ makes them inconsequential though, same as before."

It certainly is worth the extra.
