50351530-cHngc.jpgIs this where they ask me whether I am a BT customer or not?
    The2Time's avatar
I had that when i took the 200gb offer. Never got a call and sim arrived shortly after.

    Here's an update.

Got my SIM £13.50 not a BT BB Customer and no student code 😞.

Speeds are good 220mbs~ish. So there is not a max cap on the plan. I thought it might be the 25mbs or the 100mbs but thankfully there's no speed shaping on the plan.

    No roaming included?
    gloxton's avatar
Not anymore. I have to add it when I go abroad and they've put it up from £10 extra a month to £15. I'm not happy about it.

Anyone that's left EE and then gone back as a new customer to get the good deal, pray tell how you did this?? I left months ago, took my number with me to Lyca until a good ee deal came up. Like this one. Yay! But, I just tried to take this deal and I can't because I'm already a customer. I just called and was told the account takes 4 years to be deleted if its not used. Boo! No ee deal for me.

As long as it's been more than a month since the final bill was generated and the balance was settled, they can scrub your old account from their system, or manually assign a new order to that old account.

Call digital sales on 0800 079 0533 and give them your XKO Number. They should sort it out for you. If you've already been refused with this order you'll probably have to start another, get to the stage where it recognises you and parks the order then sends out another email with a new XKO. Occasionally you'll get someone awkward but they are allowed to reinstate previous customers after a month of the final bill.

Be careful with EE as their signal isn’t the best. I joined a few months ago and they’ve just let me out of my contract after having no signal in my house , at first they tried telling me they “don’t guarantee indoor coverage”! .
    GLA's avatar
Sadly I think you have just gotten unlucky. EE has the best coverage out of all UK networks.

    No EU Roaming.
    Cold. (edited)

I was paying £33 for unlimited data calls and texts after the rise in April my contract ended 6 months ago, so I sent a text to get my PAC code and 5 minutes later had a call from EE, told them I'm leaving because to expensive, he asked where I was going I said to Vodafone and he asked how much a month I said £21 unlimited everything which was bull because I never even contacted Vodafone. He said he will do £18 unlimited everything 12 month contract and he would throw in EU roaming, i said sign me up. Worth a go if anybody's contract is finished
    pandapops's avatar
A few months ago I called and asked for my pac code and they gave it to me immediately and that was that

    KodaBear's avatar
Totum is a 15% discount. StudentBeans is 20%

Would end up paying £16+ by the time you finish your contract . Cpi April increase aint no joke with the ongoing extortionate rate .Had 5 bt family sims with halo . No choice but to leave. (edited)

I very much doubt we'll have double digit inflation next year..

And on £12, it's hardly anything.
  12. Waqq's avatar
I take it this won't include free roaming? My £20/month SIM-only contract just ended but hesitant to switch to something else as the free roaming is grandfathered in.
    KodaBear's avatar
No roaming. But if you are an existing customer you can request a PAC code. They’ll make one attempt to call you back and give you the chance to haggle a good renewal deal and add roaming to it.

Otherwise you could switch to one of the networks that piggyback on EE but offer roaming for free too - may be even cheaper.
  13. BILL517's avatar
Good coverage network and good deal due to renew on 22nd June but think I'll stick with tesco for another year their colleague deal through a friend for £10 everything unlimited. O2 coverage ain't great but cost wise it's efficient (edited)
    Madgick3's avatar
EE definitely have the best coverage. I left them for O2 because of EU Roaming, but the signal is a joke. I’m pretty keen to join Popit soon. I was browsing NVMO’s for ones that use EE’s network. Prices are decent and they have EU Roaming so best of both worlds. I’m just waiting on them to get Wifi Calling (supposedly anytime now)

This would be perfect after not being able to get the other switch deals.

"Only available for new EE joiners"

Are they smart enough to know I'm already an EE customer or can you pretend to be a new one and port your old EE number?

I have the same question in my mind. Hope someone has an answer for us.

How do you get a student code... My daughter's at university?
    The2Time's avatar
Well, you would probably need to ask your daughter for a code at a guess?
  23. Salman_PatelX0f's avatar
Can you share the link of the ee website for this deal
  24. mrjgoodall's avatar
I applied for an EE sim with BB offer and they called me asking for my BB account number. Once they knew I wasn’t a BB customer they cancelled the transaction. Didn’t really offer me anything competitive to hook me in after that either. Need to leave O2 (terrible signal in SW) but can’t find a deal good enough to rival O2/VM Volt.

How much for ad Hoc roaming like 1 week
    Searching4deals1234's avatar
    10 a month I believe
  26. Funkyboy's avatar
I've got 200gb EE said I'd used it all in 10 days but couldn't give me a breakdown of when I'd used it when I challenged it. Never used more than 80gb in previous month's
  27. ADADA's avatar
Managed to get it with no codes at all. Just make sure you go through the link above?

Going to move back to EE
Thought getting a cheap 3 sim contract was good
But three and it’s patchy network is really annoying me….
  29. LuckyOliver's avatar
Hello everyone, I am trying to move to EE but when I try to get new contract on credit control check page it gives 'must be after date of birth' error so I can not go on, anyone having same issue?
    KodaBear's avatar
    Try a different web browser
  30. Baddan95's avatar
Is free eu roaming included in this or not?
    KodaBear's avatar
Nope. You’d have to pay per day or add a roaming pass for the months you travel. When you reach renewal you can haggle and negotiate free roaming as part of your deal though.
  31. carpediemjay's avatar
Confused, the best one I've found (non-bt) is £15 for 6 months, then it increases to £30. and it's 24 month contract.
    The2Time's avatar
    Confused about what?
  32. student.223's avatar
    Just confirming

Best way to get this as an existing (out of contract) EE customer is

    - Port out for one month
    - Order the deal
    - Port back in?
    KodaBear's avatar
As an existing customer if you do that and close your account it’s got to be a month from the date of your final bill that they’ll reopen it so it’s going to be more than a month from porting out.

Have you tried requesting your PAC code by text and haggling with retentions when they call you back?
  33. Hanid_S_Grover's avatar
Hi could someone send a code please mine doesn’t seem to work (edited)
  34. xZEDx's avatar
Hi just wondering if there is a speed cap on is deal.

Like their new 25mbs and 100mbs contracts. Which is freaking ridiculous for the price they are charging!!! Like WTF!!!

I just found this out after buying this deal

But not sure what this deal is speed capped at??? (edited)
    KodaBear's avatar
100Mb. In reality the cap allows more like 120-125 however. And in the real world the speed limits will absolutely not affect your usage on a phone. It’s faster than the UK’s average home broadband download speed.

    Hi all,
I am existing EE PAYG customer. How do I exactly workout port out and port in for this deal. Shall I first port out to different provider and then go and sign for that deal? Or I can sign first for that deal , get new number and when sim arrives than port out and port in to the new sim?
    Thanks
    LuckyOliver's avatar
Ordered sim, when sim arrived called ee, and explained that I want to keep my ee payg nr, they asked some question to verify pay as you go sim number is mine and transfered that nr to pay monthly sim in seconds (edited)
