About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
- This is the M1 Max Mac Studio...a beast of a machine at an absolute steal of a price. The next best price (new) I can find is Costco for £1799.00. Yes, it's been replaced by the M2 version but from what I've seen, the improvements are negligible. Grab a bargain now!

sorted byWish they stocked more as i hate currys and its nice to have a bricks and mortar store for big purchases
I’ve been burned way too many times by them. The last being a Bissell carpet washer that broke down after a couple of months. Brought it back to store with the box, and all the staff agreed it’s nothing to do with them and gave me the number for Bissell. After back and fourth they said to leave it with them and they’ll contact Bissell, but would probably take 60 days to receive my referb.
I left it with them, and 30 minutes later got a call from Currys asking me to collect the item and call Bissell myself because they can’t get through. I vowed from that point, even for a bargain of the decade, they aren’t having another penny from me.
As you can tell, my experience with that place cuts deep. (edited)
It used to be £3,999 and now it's £2,999.
Saving £1,000!
But I still prefer and am after the M2 Ultra model...
2% on airtime rewards with Argos too - probably Quidco too - worth a check! (edited)
I know as soon as I buy one the next version will come out and include raytracing support (there’s been talk about it in A series for iphones - so will hold out) (edited)
Basically, both storage and RAM are soldered in which means if anything goes wrong; you will loose lot of data. Its better (even though not that cheap) to get external SSD (40GBps transfer) rather then buying a mac studio with higher storage.
32 GB is plenty for RAM, unless you are planning to use it for VM/Docker in which case I would buy something more workstation / server based solution.
I'm not that impressed with it compared to my upgraded 2012 Macbook pro which has 2TB of SSD storage and 16GB of ram. A lot of the spinning beach ball when upgrading software on the Mac Studio. I will have to use a few external SSD's with it. (edited)
(Not suggesting it is, but something about it makes it look fake to my brain).

VA not IPS, with Pros and cons for each. Much less cost outlay. Probably something you’d want to see in action really to judge performance relative to your needs. (edited)
Will sign up for Applecare as usual on collection as it's been worth it for me in the past.
through my workplace I get 6% off with vouchers, takes an extra £90 off. Very tempting (edited)
I did look at buying Argos vouchers via employment scheme at 5% off, but they don't accept Amex for payment, so no use to me as I have to spend £2k in the first 3 months to get the extra Nectar points.
I know there are other offers to get cashback etc. Is there a better way to do this to maximise return using an Amex Nectar to pay? (edited)
20% off first order if you sign up to their Very Pay credit thing.
You're better to pay on a cashback or points card.
You have to pay via Paypal on Very to use Amex as Very don't accept Amex on their site.
I paid £1523.19, but will get £15.23 back in Nectar points from my Amex Nectar card. Plus this purchase gets me close to my £2000 spend in the first 3 months to get another £100 of Nectar points, I only got the card new on Saturday. (edited)
