There is a mistake on GSMArena , there is no dedicated microsd card slot on this phone

Early impressions are that the phone feels thicker and wider than the motorola g6 play that it replaces and the screen protector is a fiddle to get on without air bubbles. That has been all Ive done so far.

Transfer data from the old phone the ZTE asked for a cable and then did the transfer via google play. Will see if the photos have transfered across with the other files I wan to keep. But need to be home and in front of a computer to sort things out.

The charger is an EU two pronged one and you get an adaptor to use in the UK.

Still no money taken for order here.

    Slightly concerning:
"A relatively small player on the global stage, ZTE is very vague about its update plans. “ZTE has plans to provide major system updates (one update) on flagship products, but the update time depends on the release time of Google’s commercial version,” said the company via email. This doesn’t make us feel too confident about the longevity of its phones.

In the case of the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra from 2022, the company didn’t even make a commitment at all, refusing to comment on the matter."

Looks like they do everything slow, they have not even taken my money yet for the phone so not expecting delivery for another week.

Looks like they have been selling too many V41's and not much else...price now £199.
    Nicktyke's avatar
Shame. At £129 it was tempting, despite the company's poor record on software updates. At £199, it's up against some crazy good phones, so they deserve to sell precisely zero at that price.

Anyone bought this phone and had the money taken from their account or got a delivery date?
  17. Feargal's avatar
I ordered when deal first posted but just cancelled order as picked up a handset on amazon warehouse to tide me over for a while and no sign of ZTE ever posting these out. Could not get a straight answer out of ZTE support and ZTE do not seem to publish the FULL phone specs so a bit of a gamble if relying on gsmarena for the correct specs.

Got a text from DHL on Saturday that a parcel is being delivered the morning of the 5th (today) On Monday the 3rd I received an email from ZTE that my phone was being delivered.
Phone hasn't arrived. yet nor any further texts or emails. 19.00

EDIT the texts were from Fedex and not DHL. (edited)

The ZTE mobile phone arrived (was delivered yesterday) The phone comes with an EU charger in the box and an adaptor for the uk, in a separate box.
Phone comes with a screen protector and case to fit the phone. The language options at start up are English (United States) and US Spanish but going down the language list gets you to the right Uk english.

Early impressions? Looks like it's back at £129. My eldest dropped his phone the other week and is on a five-year-old honor 8a, much to his annoyance. Thought this might make a decent replacement, despite ZTE's shaky history on software/security updates.
