I could do with this deal for the Show 8!
These are great for improving the sound. It isn't noticeable from just looking at an Echo Show 5, but the speaker projects from the underside of the screen, not the back where the fabric is. A lot of the sound gets muffled due to this.
The RRP is ridiculous, but £5 isn't too bad. Hot from me.
Had no idea of this! Thanks- I've tried on my Show 8 1st gen and works fine so ordered another, cheapest show 8 stand at least £10 more expensive

Finally thank you an affordable stand. Jeeze stands from anyone seller or brand are really expensive. Even second hand ones on flea bay go bucks. Excellent find ordered have some heat. (edited)
It is a really nice stand. Mine literally just turned up. Quality solid feel to it, and magnetic connection to the Echo. Fits first and second gen, and really can't knock it for this price.

I took a punt on this, and "guessed" it would work with a Show 8. Just arrived, and it does. It`s probably not designed for the weight of the 8 as opposed to the 5, but, it is sitting there looking better than just on the shelf. Worth it for a fiver for the improved look of the thing. If you have a fiver to spare, then this is your choice against the other more expensive stands for the 8. If it is located in a position NOT likely to be knocked, then it will probably be fine. BIGD37 says above, has been using same unit for 2 years, but paid a lot more for theirs. (edited)
I did the same, took a punt and concur that it does work with the Echo Show 8 1st Gen I have. Not a perfect fit as the locating spigot on the stand is smaller than the mating recess on the Echo Show unit itself, but ironically this provides some useful left / right rotational adjustment in addition to the normal up / down adjustment. The magnetic bond is more than strong enough to hold the 8 on the 5 stand without any stability issues. Here's a photo of mine in situ.
