I got the 75 inch 745 series before Christmas (with the better TS8132 sound bar). Very happy with it. Haven't really got a point of comparison for the picture as our previous TV was pretty old, but it looks great to me my eyes. Google TV is excellent, though worth knowing that the TCL tellys aren't certified for BBC Iplayer so you can't install from the play store... I sideloaded easily enough though. Runs other apps well.

98" is huge though. Measure it out on your wall before you even think of about something this big. (edited)

Note that it's a 2-year warranty on this, keep an eye out for a return of Costco's one for £1650 (w/o the soundbar), which offers a 5-year warranty hotukdeals.com/dea…027

If this is wall mountable and has an optical connection I'm all over it...

Just to warn you, I already tried it & this was the result...
If you are already like this, then there's no stopping you!

When you go back to a single screen, this might happen to overcompensate...

Comes a point in your life when something is clearly too big for your living room.

Or you need a bigger house. I'm fortunate enough to have space for this without it being too big. Got 3.5m wall but have a 75er at the moment and no reason to upgrade

A TV that size would take up my entire living room wall!
Now, any hot deals for a house?

We said 3 years ago: Until this lovely LG is working we won't buy a new one. Yeah, next one will be an LG too.100%. I think it's 10 years old now.

Certainly not good for me with the living room upstairs. I think the projector will do for now.

I’m torn between this and the 85 inch Samsung neo 4k which o can get for 2k…

Currently have a Ust 1080p projector in conservatory which is great for a 100" image, but unusable in the day, had been considering a 4k ust lazer upgrade but this might be even better... Only downside is no 3d.

I bought a TCL tv in January 2022, said 100Hz and there was no software update for quite long now. The apps (Disney+, YouTube or Netflix) are stuttering, cutting and switching off. It's an Android tv so also very slow. I will not buy TCL again and regret spent almost a grand on it. My subjective opinion - may be great for someone but doesn't work for me.
