Great Price for the 245 Music edition. If you're a casual to intermediate runner this will do everything you need.

I would say that you only need to consider spending (much) more on better models if you need full maps for trail running, an OLED screen, or dual-band GPS for running in built-up or forested areas.

Excellent watch for the money, lot's of features. User interface isn't that intuitive, but that probably applies to a lot of Garmin watches.

This or a fr255 for £230 (blc)? Opinions welcome.

I would go for this if running is your thing. Otherwise the Venu is a good watch.

Bought this for around the same price a couple months back. Great for runners, not so amazing as a smartwatch - that would be my summary review. You have to be willing to tinker with the settings and learn the features, it’s not intuitive like say an Apple watch. But for runners willing to spend a bit of time on it, you can get a lot more out of it.

I have this. It’s good for running and the app
is good. Lots of features. Screen sucks a bit though. Also the app for uploading music to it is poor. Battery life is about 4 days which is better than most google watches. Seemless integration with strava  (edited)

so i bought the non-music one of these a couple of weeks back, for £147. this price for the music one is a bargain. I love the watch, brilliant, does all I need in terms of tracking. Custom watch faces are really good, i am using GLANCE and got it configured just how I like it, with all relevant data to me on the watch.

Can anybody reccomend a good watch for hiking that has decent navigation? Sick of using my phone

Garmin Fenix 7 or forerunner 955 or 965. Those models all have inbuilt maps and navigation

    Very tempted by this.

I've had the Vivoactive 3 Music for over 3 years now. It has been great, but having a few sync issues and the battery is not what it was!

It seems this is only missing OLED screen and being able to use garmin pay, but with these 2 options it looks like you have to pay a lot more!
