NOTE: Fitbit as we know it is DEAD, it was bought by google in 2021 techradar.com/opi…gle,

Google bought the company for the technology and have now incorporated it in their new Pixel watch 2. amazon.co.uk/Goo…e=1

I think this may be the last of these fitbits as the branding becomes google who have the technology in more and more of their offerings, in fact Google were giving these away recently when you bought a Google Pixel 8 Pro phone, that is why there are so many new ones for sale on ebay. getreading.co.uk/wha…330

I personally wouldn't invest in one of these as their days are numbered although I don't see a Google replacement for this style, the quality was going down a bit with watch strap connection to the body issues and not so great customer service.

Anyway its info to look at and make up your own minds and may help someone

Check out how many are available in the warehouse returns!

I'm not sure I share this opinion. Google still actively developing the Fitbit app and brand. I haven't seen any indication that the brand is dead or that they have plans to close it.

At MWC this week Google have announced a further development to the Fitbit app which will open up the app to other inputs from 3rd parties - a great development.

The high number of available warehouse returns is indicative of two things.... One, they sell in high volume. It's a fairly low priced electrical item, even a normal returns % increases the number of units available ehen you sell in huge volume.
Secondly, partially driven by the 6m free Fitbit premium. Customers purchase a second fitbit get the 6m free then return second device and keep premium on their original Fitbit.

Another corrupt corporate. After 2 years these devices start failing as soon as the warranty period finishes.

Decent deal. Despite a lot of genuine complaints about Fitbit of late, this band has been great for me. Going from the Sense 2, this is much more accurate in all its tracking features, and I'm currently charging it once every 7 days when it still has a little over 20% left.

The only feature I miss is the floor counter. The better tracking is however much more important to me.

How important is the premium feature? I have never owned a tracker or smart watch, but I’m a little worried they’re hiding stuff behind a pay wall. No desire to have yet another monthly subscription

Refuse to buy fitbit overpriced to start with then charge you a monthly fee to unlock all functions

Love my Fitbit Charge 5 but would not buy again. This is my 3rd unit in 4 years. Previous two both stopped charging. My Versa 2 was out of warranty but the excellent Fitbit customer service gave me a half price voucher for a Charge 5. This died within a year and was replaced FoC. I suspect water ingress although I rarely wore it swimming. It's a great watch and tracker and the app is great. However, once the warranties run out I'll probably go elsewhere especially with Google taking over. The app often nags to migrate your account to Google which I have declined. No doubt this will be forced before long. Premium is not worth the extra IMO having also had 6 months trial. Good price tho! (edited)

Gold & Peach now discounted to £119 including 6 month premium membership, at least you get a 2yr warranty unlike ebay where it's no returns from freebie ones being sold.

Got a sense 2 new on eBay for £69 + £6 for a band and charger, got it mainly for the ecg app, it doesn’t compare with a Garmin Venu 3 I had my eye on, but it’s ok for everyday tracking and basic health stats and the ecg app is pretty good.
Is the Garmin worth 6 X the price? Don’t think so.
All the garmins I’ve had before have been pretty good, but what put me off the venu was the lack of availability of the ecg app in the UK, there are ways of adding it with vpns and gps spoofers but not ideal and won’t synch with connect.
Overall for the price I think £75 is good, I probably will go back to Garmin once all the apps are fully supported in the UK but for now the sense 2 is doing a good job for the price.
