HAMMERHEAD KAROO 2 GPS CYCLING COMPUTER
The Hammerhead Karoo 2 is incredibly sleek and one of the most powerful GPS Cycling Computers out there. It brings together the benefits of a smartphone operating system, Android 8, with that of a purpose-built GPS unit, and your Hammerhead account can be used to sync routes, workouts and access certain settings. The unit itself is light yet strong, and the Dragontrail™ glass panel screen has an acid-etched matt, anti-glare finish that's easy to view in all light conditions. The responsive touchscreen of smartphone quality won't be affected by rain or mud, and the screen can be locked via a double button tap when required. In poor conditions, you can switch to using the four high grip buttons on the unit, ensuring full functionality no matter the weather.

Four satellite sensors are integrated into the unit: GPS, GLONASS, Beidou and QZSS, for extremely accurate data. The Karoo 2 supports a whole host of external sensors, including Varia Radar for indications of approaching traffic, as well as training sensors, including electronic drivetrains and Smart Trainers.

The unit is waterproof, in addition to being resistant to dust, so there's no risk of moisture or other contaminants getting in. A shock-reducing bumper takes some of the impact, particularly over rough terrain.

The Karoo 2 fits to the handlebar using a patent-pending Hammerhead mounting system. The aerodynamic profile cuts drag for knocking off those all-important seconds, and the unit attaches via an affirmative click. Rotation is required to disconnect, so you can rest assured that the fit is extremely secure. A Karoo to quarter-turn adapter is included, which can be fitted to any Garmin-compatible bracket, meaning previous mounts aren't rendered obsolete. Battery life is long at around 12 hours, and a full charge takes just three hours from empty.

THe battery isnt as good as garmins, but its more than sufficient, Ive done 90K ride with it and almost 50% left after using maps, no monitoring. With Di2, HRM,radar and power meter 40+ after 60K. If your doing massive distance's then maybe take a small battery and charge on the go. Functionally its miles better than the Garmin only thing missing is crash detection.

I'm getting an error with the voucher code no matter what browser I use.
Is anyone still having success with the SPEND40 code?
Edit: To clarify - the voucher will successfully apply in the basket if I am not signed in but is invalid when logged in to my account
Edit 2 - Code worked just fine once I logged out and selected Guest Checkout (edited)

Annoyingly, the code also doesn't work for orders with in-store collection.

Just wanted to say. I am so glad I purchased this. I havent owned a head unit before, and the only sensor i own is an HRM. I love the fact I can go out on the bike without programming a route and this device will show me segment and climb data, its motovational watching it count down the elevation and really rewarding when it reports x climbs complete during my ride. I think it's a great device. (edited)

    Battery life
    clarkeyi's avatar
I did a 60 mile ride on sat and had 40% battery remaining. I do hear these comments but for the average rider over 100miles it will be fine.

Seems to be ok on IOS Safari for me. That said Sigma site doesn’t like Firefox for me on Windows 10 and I always need to use Edge

Nice device, but the battery life is beyond dire, the worst of any current GPS. Cooling added, sorry.

Bought one over a year ago. Used it for around six months, then our baby was born. Haven't taken it out since. Great device, so much better than the boring garmins and wahoos.

If anyone wants to make a decent offer on my nearly brand new one, please do. I'll be sticking it on ebay soon.

Its a shame about the battery on the new model i have the original Karoo and have done 100+ mile rides and still come out with easily about 30-40% battery.
