Very good price. Use the Skyscanner calendar to see the dates and prices, most are around £220-225 for Boston. For JFK around £260 - 265. Seems to be accommodating for various trip lengths. Flights are based on Norweigan air 7kg Luggage policy.

Examples:

9th - 14th October (for Boston)

That's poor for such a long journey.

Please tell me they at least provide a pilot?

My understanding is that Norse are essentially the rebranded Norwegian airlines long-haul offering. Pre-pandemic I used to get them semi-regularly to Boston from Gatwick and generally they were on par with other airlines in terms of experience. Their Dreamliner fleet was more or less new at the time as well so the planes were decently comfortable. No frills, no hold luggage or meals included, bring food with you or buy expensive snacks and drinks during the flight. They didn't used to charge extra for bulkhead seats with extra legroom. If I were still visiting Boston regularly I would definitely give them a try, and I always prefer Gatwick as a base to go from rather than Heathrow.

What is this airline like as I am terrified of flying 😏

All western/european airlines are very safe

Flights work out same price booked directly with Norse (if adding baggage) as these OTAs seem to make up their original discount on the basic price with their own increased baggage prices.

yes, don't book baggage with them. just add it once you're checking in from the Norse website directly

    Great deal.

Their under seat bag size is larger than most budget airlines (Ryanair, Wizz)
    "Underseat bag / personal item 45 x 36 x 22 cm"
Manageable for a week away as it's still fairly warm in US north east in early October.

Real tempting. If one was to travel on their own how much do you think accomodation would set them back?

Expedia is your friend, did Boston & NY over Xmas 2019, booked accommodation via Expedia, booked the Greyhound between Boston & NY, hired a car for 2 days very cheap on day we left NY, back to Boston (for overnight before early flight home) via Woodbury Common outlets for shopping (edited)

Personally I’m fine with the take off, love it, but not so much on the landing. Although obviously very grateful it always takes place, well so far anyway. One time was pretty lucky but won’t go into that here. Heat, great price, may take advantage. Thx OP.

Surely you’re statistically more likely to die when taking off? I mean, especially when all than flammable unburnt fuel on board is taken into consideration?

Plenty of reviews suggesting that if you go Premium on Norse (yes ex Norwegian 787s) then you get a much bigger seat pitch than either BA or Virgin premium. 8 inches more!

    Great review here

No frills but a huge seat!

How much more is the upgrade though?

    Great prices! Heat from me.
Just need to remember the cost of everything in the US is crazy, even if the pound is a little stronger than a few months ago.

Blimey cracking prices plus sensible departure and arrival times too

Most people complain about additional costs on board and baggage, but it's all laid out up front so if you ensure you take what you need and stick to the weights i cant see how you can complain. What does seem to be an issue is check in times, they dont have an app so you have to queue up to print a baording ticket, which has led to long delays. Also no tsa pre check coming back from usa so again lines are likely to be long.

If I was sure than new iphone would be out by then, it would be no brainer as price difference would easily pay for the flights and accommodation

What makes you not sure? It usually comes out in September no?

Has anyone flown with Norse before that can comment please? Wrestling with whether I will “pay cheap and pay twice” if I get this wrong
