Don't use metal brushes for cleaning BBQs, they are dangerous. They can lose bristles which can adhere to food being cooked and then can lodge in someone's throat.

    Quite right.

I only use as a back scratcher.

used to use these and if you do make sure you wash the grill off after to remove stray bristles. Been several deaths in usa once swallowed.

Please do not buy these metal grill brushes, they are a nightmare if stray bristles get swallowed! Look up news articles on metal grill brushes.

Got a couple of these a while back. Not so easy to use as they do not have an angled handle. A recessed grill even on a reasonably large kettle bbq makes these a bit cumbersome to use effectively. I have cheap angled versions which I prefer. I would not buy again.

I've seen nothing but bad press lately about the wire bristles coming loose and getting into your food. Needless to say it doesn't end well! I'll stick with a scraper/scourer combo.

I think I see where those experiencing that issue are going wrong, you're supposed to use the wire brush after you've finished cooking and removed the food from the grill.

I thought it was a very bad idea to clean grills with these wire brushes?

Great for getting stubborn bits off, but always rinse and dry afterwards.

As much as I'm a Weber fan, these are garbage. They don't last long, get all gummed up.

Got one of these, use to clean bbq and pizza oven stone. Had about 10 years, looks a bit knackered but still doing the job and going strong.

This is the only thing I now need for the BBQ to be complete. And they are now out of stock.
