Wow, Millenium falcon at £588, add on 12% from complete savings cash back would bring it down to £517.

Better yet use 20% off charge up gift vouchers would bring it down to £471

Interested in these 20% gift vouchers. How do you get them?

Avoid unless you don't mind a smashed up box. No outer box as its 2 in a carton which they are removed from. Buy 2 if you want mint.....at a gamble.

Falcon comes in its original LEGO shipper box. But yea. Most of the time the box from Argos will be in tatters.

Bought and straight back. 2 massive holes in the box. Argos just don’t learn 😡

Don't you bin the box anyway lol

Hmmmmmm it seems a good deal. The gamble is the box condition.

As these are larger sets, hopefully they will send them out in original shipping boxes, besides the Apartments which will be the one that you gamble on.

I ordered one last week but the box was rather battered so they ordered another for me to collect. Unfortunately, another employee gave my “new” one to someone else so again, I’ve been left with the original set and it’s now out of stock completely and they can’t order it from their distribution centres either. Managed to negotiate a big discount though and got it for £190 instead of £276. Plus using some nectar points brought it down to £177 from the original £345 plus it’s 5x nectar points this weekend. Not a bad deal at all! 🏻

Hoping the gunship goes back down to £250 like last year but very highly doubt it.

Due to retire this year sadly, though stacking with any vouchers, cashback (complete savings probably best bet) + nectar might make it close to that price

Nice, just hoping Argos drop the price on the Daytona so I can cancel my Zavvi order and collect this.

    Sadly not today, still £390

These were meant to be Zavvi exclusives. I bought a few of each and really not happy Argos are now selling them

Zavvi has lost a lot of its exclusives recently, likely not meeting sales LEGO anticipates, probably because Zavvi are terrible imo, though thats my opinion.

Smyths recently got the Home Alone, Porsche 911 and Amazon is/has got the R2-D2 and Corvette sets.

Out of interest OP, how do you know which sets are discounted in advance (as only shows price at checkout until tomorrow).
    deleted2690531's avatar
Load everything into your basket, then check out. True story.

I think some Argos stores are better at keeping their stock nicer than others. Crown Point in Leeds and Meadowhall in Sheffield have tatty boxes most of the time and if it's ordered in for you it's just pot luck.

I find also and this is not anything to do with Argos/zavvi themselves but Lego - Lego boxes sealed in shipping boxes are sometimes battered to start with. I've seen some with huge damage even though they've arrived in a perfect shipping "do not put on shelf" box outer

I can't say I'm sad to see Zavvi get pushed out as they are rubbish - Argos for all their faults are miles better (edited)

Keep your eyes peeled - Friends Apartment set was OOS everywhere but one became available today near me so I bagged it. I'm fully expecting a tatty box but I don't really mind. If it is, I'll try asking for a discount.
