Watch 6 is not much different from 4 and 5
    lucyferror's avatar
It's MUCH different from 5 as it have rotating bezel which they removed for no reason and now it's back.

I am tempted to get the Classic 47mm Bluetooth version. It should be under £200 if I can get rid of the Google Play voucher.
    hasankhizer043's avatar
I've also got a £100 Google play voucher from last year, not sure how to sell it

Got a Galaxy 3 still rocking and holding decent charge. Would I benefit from upgrading?
    zymunt's avatar
If I remember correctly, watch 3 is Tizen based, and since watch 4 they run wearOS. It is quite a big difference in app they support.
I still have 1st gen Watch and battery is really good (more than 1 day with AOD) but I miss some features new one have

Code GALAXYLIVE for £25 off. Dunno how long it'll last, but it worked just now.

Not working for me on EPP

What's the difference between this and classic?
    lucyferror's avatar
Classic have rotating bezel which is amazing and makes this watch unique to any other brand. That was the reason I got my first Samsung Watch.

their process is slow but always done within their time window which is mostly 60 days.
my claims were always settled ofcourse after a lot of emails, phone calls because I was getting impatient.

Mines at home delivered today - Watch 6 Classic from a Pro 5. Missed the rotating bezel for sure. Had a £100 discount voucher, did trade in and sold my Pro 5 for £200 so ended up £15 in profit via student portal
    Priyesh's avatar
How did you get the discount voucher?
  10. alexytin's avatar
50730360-Tb5qZ.jpgIt was cheaper the other day.
    lucyferror's avatar
    How come that cheap?
  11. ozzy1971's avatar
Thanks DealTron ,great timing as wife's smart watch packed up last night .Ended up paying £185.10 when all discounts and trade in applied .

Three mobile have the 44mm watch for 219 via the app.

Is this a good price? Don't think I can trade in devices or that though
    Maxm4n's avatar
    Definitely good price,

    Something to keep in mind.

"Samsung says that regardless of which Watch 6 model you’ll use, you should achieve up to 40 hours of battery on a single charge with the Always-On Display turned off or up to 30 hours with the Always-On Display enabled.

It’s the same autonomy Samsung claimed last year for the Galaxy Watch 5, which could mean Galaxy Watch 6 users might be able to squeeze out more than 40 hours on a charge with some tweaking.

Nevertheless, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro seemingly remains the king of battery life among Samsung smartwatches. Officially, the Pro model released last year can last up to 80 hours on a single charge, and neither the standard Watch 6 nor the new Classic model can match that."
    paulbuk's avatar
Yeah you're pretty much correct here, the Watch 6 Classic isn't intended as a replacement for the Watch 5 Pro, the Pro is still getting sold as a standalone 'sports' watch with high end specs. Glad I got my 5 Pro a few months ago, will definitely get a few years out of it.
  14. zelazny's avatar
I just signed up for PerksAtWork and there's no sign of Samsung on there. Do I just need to have been a member for a while or is it based on your employer?
    nilesh15's avatar
Just search Samsung using search 🔍
  15. The_Guru's avatar
If only battery life was good. The watch 5 lasts longer. On the 6 some people are saying it only gives 20 hours on some reviews. 😔
    Smoggy1970's avatar
You would expect it to be more efficient, and not a backwards step.

My watch 5 is currently 72% and estimates 2d 6h left. Not too bad, but not great either.

EDIT: Just noticed this is for the 40mm, mine is 44mm. (edited)

I think you need to change the colour or size of the included band to get the rest of the discount

    1 DAY battery in 2023
  19. gtabuyer's avatar
For me it came out pretty much the same price when NOT using EPP, since EPP didn't allow me to use the WATCH62023 and GALAXYLIVE codes.
  20. smudge950's avatar
When selecting model for watch. If you select other, it gives option for smart watch or watch. Does this mean I can trade a regular watch to receive discount.
    harshi.srini's avatar
    I have the same doubt
  21. 164ek's avatar
Anyone know of any very cheap smartwatches we can trade in?
    ca8msm's avatar
Any of the cheap ebay ones for around £5-6 like ebay.co.uk/itm…231
  22. lucyferror's avatar
Ended up getting Galaxy Watch6 Classic LTE (47mm) for £298.10 and 48 quid back from Perks at work credit when I've bought new TV 2 years ago and forgot about it
  23. Banvard's avatar
I pre-ordered on Samsung website the other day but didn't say anything about Google Play voucher.
  24. Gustav19's avatar
When does trade in timeframe start? Does the return packaging come with the watch?
    Priyesh's avatar
The site says you have 7 days after receiving your watch. But that's also what it said when I bought my S23U, while the actual deadline I got from the Samsung Trade-in team was 14 days after my delivery date. Your delivery comes with a label and a blue bag to send your old device in.
  25. Linson_Dacunha's avatar
Have any of you received their 10X wow points or at least appear as pending on Perks at work?
    zelazny's avatar
Mine are pending - not sure how they calculated it... I spent £223 and I have 2,673 WOW points pending. I got the email around 48 hours after the purchase
  26. Alex_Thomasnwz's avatar
I received the watch today, unfortunately the box was unsealed and came in a generic box and upon looking inside the box at the watch I could see dust particles?

Should I return the item ?
    zelazny's avatar
Mine's arriving in around 45 minutes - will watch out for this... I'd be inclined to contact support at least - it might be a return (although hard to see how given that it's a brand new item?)
  27. simon_white2000's avatar
So I am going to sell the watch 6 classic and kinda wished I still had my 5 Pro - the rotating bezel is great to have back but to me the watch looks quite cheap with the gloss black trim and it feels like a bit of a let down really in terms of there being no real differences. The strap mechanism on the Pro was also better in my opinion.

    Whats everyone elses thoughts? (edited)
    zelazny's avatar
I've gone from an Active 2 to the Watch 6 Classic. So far I'm loving the rotating Bezel and Wear OS. Only arrived today, so probably a bit early to say much more, but I think it's a lot more of an upgrade for me - if I'd had the 5 Pro, I'd likely not have bothered.
  28. low_level_devel's avatar
Any thoughts on the 43mm classic vs 47mm? Coming from a AW series 7 41mm…always wished I’d got the bigger size, but at same time it’s not too over powering.
    zelazny's avatar
Personal taste, I think. I'm 6' tall with reasonably big wrists but I prefer a smaller watch - had the 40mm Active2 for years. Just upgraded to the Watch 6 Classic 43mm - it's plenty big enough for me
  29. low_level_devel's avatar
Really fancied the camel leather strap, but they were all out of stock. Decided to just order last night before the free strap offer ended...I got a stock alert at 1am and the straps are back in stock. Are Samsung at it, or just a coincidence!?
  30. vixmony's avatar
I have an nhs email, can I register with perks at work for the wow points? What are these and where can they be used and is this different from the Samsung network site?
  31. Aerobiz's avatar
Has Samsung been removed from Perks at Work?
    vixmony's avatar
Thinking the same as couldn't find it as well!

I've used Blue Light Card and youatwork a day after the preorder period and I can't seem to get the free straps like in the title, I guess that was only for those who preordered?
