Cheapest I've seen it so far and it seems Amazon have price matched (Green version only).

There was a white version available this morning, but was out of stock and seems to have gone now.

Just ordered it myself to replace my aging XR (as this might be the last mini iPhone Apple make for a while, with no mini on the horizon this year).

Good deal ordered yesterday but forgot to put the welcome code but happily I rang them and the lovely lady gave me the new customer discount so it cost me £435 absolutely delighted as I wanted a new iPhone

That's good I did the same as you, forgot. So thanks for saying they might apply it after. I'll call them tomorrow

I have this and while a decent phone the battery is awful. Go for normal size.

Battery is fine in mine. Depends if you spend all day messing about on a phone, perhaps not the phone for people whos life revolves around their phone

Perfect phone. Will keep using my 13 mini until it no longer supports the latest iOS. It's that good!

Same for me, after switching from Android the mini is the only phone I have kept for 18 Months. To see its still selling for this price pleases me, a great little phone.

Honestly this phone should be much cheaper

If I paid the £539 without the extra 20% discount, I would definitely agree -- the problem is, there's no iPhone on the horizon due to replace it anytime soon, so it's not going to budge in price. And there are rumours about this phone being discontinued this year once the 15 series of iPhones are released, which definitely isn't going to make it any cheaper (if you want something from Apple in this size, you don't really have any other choice -- which I was after for a while).

The main reason I held out from buying this phone until now was because I was sure there would be some rumours of Apple bringing back the mini -- it didn't happen last year and it's not going to happen this year from what I've read. There are also big price hikes supposedly coming with the next generation of iPhones -- and for £435 (which is less than the price of the much inferior iPhone SE 2022), I can't really see any better deals on the horizon. Got it with the welcome code for about 500 a year ago. Nice little phone, perfect size

I got it for my 8 y/o and agree. Great phone, lovely to use, very snappy and probably perfect size.

If I didn’t have my Apple Watch I’d be tempted to switch from my pro max. But fortunately the watch means I rarely take the phone out whilst walking around and the bigger screen is nice when I’m using it sitting down.

Good phone for a good price but updates aren’t guaranteed after October.

Just went to buy it but it’s now out of stock. Gutted as this is just the sort of deal I’ve been waiting for…

Amazon price matched it yesterday and still have it in stock -- have a look on their site and pick the green version, they have 14 left by the looks of it.

They were on backorder the whole time by the looks of it, hence why they are taking so long to deliver.

I would spend much less for it, after all it is almost 2 years old, many of us paid 229£ for the 12 mini from giffgaff in April, used but pristine (100% battery, 50 days to buy apple care, etc). I know the 13 is a better phone but £435 (edited) starts to be this generation price, I’d spend 350£ for this (edited)

You can't compare used pricing to new (even if it's pristine). Most people aren't willing to chance it. I've known people who have been scammed buying pre-owned iPhones in our area because they were bought with fraudulent credit cards that get charged back -- so Apple in turn disabled/bricked the phones the same way they would any stolen devices. For that reason alone, I wouldn't ever touch pre-owned iPhones. After 30 days, you had no recourse with retailers like CEX and they had to fight for almost a year to get their money back.

Also the difference is way bigger than just a bigger battery -- it runs a much better modem that's a lot more power efficient and a newer SOC. The battery feels about 30%-50% larger in day to day use. I've been watching eBay for the past few months and have not yet seen it below £480 used.

Average phone, crap price but still a good deal as other prices are crapper.

Are we really having to wait till the 18th for them to deliver it?

Yeah, looks like it. It's kind of a good thing for me, since I'll have the case and screen/camera protectors delivered long before the phone shows up (instead of having it sit in a box waiting for the accessories).

My order has changed sometime today. It now says “delivery by Friday 8th September”
I’ll stick with it I think as I should get the extra 20% first order discount - but it’s not very good
    UltimateBoozer's avatar
Yeah we gotta wait another 4 weeks
