Very tempted by this. Most important phone feature for me is camera which is why I haven't jumped yet to Xiaomi. Wondering if I'd notice much difference going from a Galaxy S21 to this?

Mine arrived today. I was disappointed to find condensation inside the main camera. It's blurry when taking photos. This is straight out of the box. Also the volume rocket is loose - I can physically move it up and down. Going straight back.

For those who are keeping the phone and want to fix the camera fogging issue it's really easy. All you need to do is pop the SIM tray out, download 3dmark and run a stress test for about 20 minutes. This will heat up your phone but it's completely safe as it will thermal throttle when the battery is around 45c. After the stress test is finished leave the SIM tray off and test 8K video recording outside for 5-10 minutes, if there's no fog then put the SIM tray back in. The issue is caused by excessive moisture trapped inside the phone during manufacturing, potentially from a small amount of glue under the battery which didn't dry out.

How this compares with 13 Pro or Ultra?
Is it better, or difference is only CPU?

Received mine yesterday. Set it up today and had a play around with it. Initially very impressed when I test the camera side by side with the 10T Pro. Set video at 4K 60 and left it recording for it 11 minutes where it became quite hot. Then I took it outside at 22c. Wow lens fog and the whole display was misty Stopped the recording and switched to phone mode, still misty.

I came back inside and it clered up within a few minutes and everything seems normal. I'm somewhat disappointed but I'm going to do a bit more testing and I reckon I'm 85% sure I'm going to keep it.

The reason I'm going to keep it is that I'm based in the ROI and I had to use a locker in NI to get it delivered and then drive up so a return is going to be a bit of a hassle. Also I very rarely use video and I believe this is what is triggering it. Also with selling the tablet and trade in I'll have this phone for less than €300. My gut is telling me that my unit is not defective and it's a natural phenomena as mentioned.

I'll do a bit more testing before deciding. Is anyone else experiencing this issue but going to keep the phone?

The 12T Pro had a 200mp camera but this 13T pro has a 50mp camera. Is this camera better in some way?

Lads and lasses I pulled the trigger on this. First time ordering from Xiaomi direct. Two things, first as I went through the checkout it showed 657 point's or whatever the equivalent of the final amount, now when I look at my account it's showing no point's, nada

Secondly I got no email at all to confirm although everything is showing as paid and processed within the Xiaomi acc.

Also on Amazon I can't find any decent case that slides over the camera, I can only find one on aliex, I think the brand name is Nillin or something.

Someone here wanted to know how to change lockscreen date format

To do so go to settings then always on display and lockscreen then lockscreen clock format and select the 2nd one. That displays the date with words instead of numbers and works fine (edited)

Folks what's the fridge test that people refer to? Clearly it's putting the phone into the fridge but do you make a video whilst it's in the fridge or take it out and then use the camera? Mine hasn't fogged up going outdoors to test the camera so thought would test further. Thanks

I don't even want it but I feel like I have to. I have a 12T Pro from launch (and got the free tablet with it), after I sell the Pad for £300 on ebay and trade in my 12T Pro for £330 it will literally give me £30 having upgraded.

My only concern is the camera. I am almost certain it won't be as good as my 12T Pro 50mp mode is. I am also certain the 12.5 mode will be better on the 13T Pro though, but I never use that on my 12T Pro. I doubt low light is very different though even with the slightly smaller sensor and the 13T Pro ultrawide is better (plus kinda useless telephoto lol).

The 200mp sensor on the 12T Pro doesn't get enough praise for the 50mp mode. I took some insanely detailed pictures of North Korea through binoculars with it this year lol. I've looked at the IMX707 50mp performance in the 12 Pro and it is much wesker than my 12T Pro sadly. But maybe the Dimensity 9200+ and a year newer in processing will result in better images than the 12 Pro?

Idk, it will be sad to lose this amazing 50mp mode if it turns out to be a lot worse. But at least it gains a better ultra wide and usable telephoto. Overall I simply can't ignore the fact it will give me a brand new phone with a new battery, already have a 120w charger and apparently this comes with another, a new cable that is specific to Xiaomi 120w and that insanely brighter display plus new chipset. And £30 in my pocket lol. (edited)
