stop posting this company. I think hukd moderators shd suspend postings abt them for a while. they need to sort out their cs, sim activation, delivery, carrier sim switching etc. its horrendous. I won't advise anyone to get on their services as of now. they're not up to scratch. they're providing mobile network services like they are operating from the back of a 2nd-hand vehicle. (edited)

Like many others I'm having issues with this company. Bought with a years sim for my daughters phone, at one point they disabled it because they thought it was being used for commercial use due to number of texts she gets and now the data has just stopped working and they just keep saying everything is fine.

Likely going to just need to sack them off and go to Lycamobile instead.

    Awful customer service. Avoid.

That's the problem with these tiny networks. The price is good, but if anything ever goes wrong, you're almost on your own.

I've got a SIM from them. Seems to work ok for most of the time. But their customers service is non existent. Also no app or way of knowing what allowances you have used or is left. Bad customer service.

will only recommend this company to my enemies; just to make them suffer. only in such a scenario. 🤷‍♂️

I have no issues with my SIM, when it arrived. But, a month or two ago, I ordered another which hasn't arrived because they can't handle the demand probably as a result of being listed on HUKD.

It's a relatively small company who buys its SIMs from another provider called Now (who charge around 50% more for their services.)

When my first SIM arrived it had a sticker over the Now logo, with the RWG logo.

So I'd give them a go for a spare SIM if you have a dual SIM phone. It might not be worth risking porting your main number to them until they've sorted out the backlog and been able to establish themself better. Paired with a Lebara SIM, this gives me much better coverage and is still cheaper than having one SIM with Vodafone. (edited)

Actually for at least one of the plans, Now is comparable. I'm talking about the £2 teaser that RWG do which is 750MB data; Now do the same thing but 1GB data for £2.50 (haven't compared voice or text so not sure if different - and they have an app.

When I first joined RWG in the 4G-only days, their CS was pretty quick to answer by phone and email, but now they only respond to email, and if you've got anything mildly complex then forget it. When they switched to 5G, around half of my SIMs with them upgraded ok, but the others stuck on 4G. They gave me a few boilerplate responses like APN settings, etc. but then ignored all further emails about it. Suffice to say I wouldn't trust them with my main number.

I was lucky enough to get one of their "forever" SIMs: a small monthly allowance, something like 100 mins of calling etc, for a small one-off cost. It's worked fine for almost a year.

...thing is, I got an email from them this week saying they're changing payment provider, and customers have to reenter payment details for their SIM plans by the end of the month. Since mine was a one-off payment, and my tariff is no longer available to reapply for, I haven't bothered.

Will my SIM remain active? We shall see... (edited)

Your SIM will still be active because you have paid in advance. It happened to me as well. I have paid £60 for a year and I've sent RWG and email. It took them a few days to reply, informing me that I don't need to worry about it.

Use this company at your own peril. Just awful, total cowboys (and that’s an insult to cowboys!)

I got a 2 year plan from them. Took a couple of weeks to arrive, which I half expected, due to them keeping busy.

I went to check my Internet and it wasn't there. I messaged them but after an hour or so of searching I found the APN settings on their site. The answer (ok maybe I tried other things, including messaging them) was straightforward and fixed it for me. I don't recall them ever replying, but big brands ignore me too. I've been ghosted by Samsung over an SSD warranty for a week now, for example.

Hot, but maybe I won't cancel my broadband just yet, going off what others have said before me.

I have it as a second SIM, no issues porting and no issues using, outstrips the main Tesco mobile SIM. Sat down the shore the other day and noticed the 5g on it, ran an Ookla speed test 160mb, the Tesco gave me 12mb. I haven't had any interaction with their CS so can't comment.

Lack of WiFi calling is main cons ...

They’re currently working on it apparently.

Signed up for a sim 2 weeks ago. Had to chase after it was late arriving. Finally arrived but didn’t work. Got 1 reply by email now nothing. Tried calling multiple times you just get disconnected after 20 mins. Now have to contact my credit card company to reverse transaction. (edited)

I got this for my son's first sim to use going to school and also on holidays with EU roaming upgrade. All fine. I got him the lifetime 750mb initially and then a 2gb top up per month for £60 for two years. I emailed customer service once about the code to check his balances and they replied within 20 mins from what I recall. I am happy with this for the price as they use a great network EE.

I have 3 SIM cards with them. No further issues after initial delay with porting (took 4 days ) and no mobile data. CS needs massive improvement. I guess we get what we paid for..

I use talkhome who have the same website as NOW mobile. They had a special offer of 250 mins and texts and 1gb data for £15 a year.

Apart from the port taking 4 hours. Everything has gone okay. Contacted support once and took a day to get back to me. Roaming is cheap too! cheaper than RWG with a few countries included

RWG do have cheaper out of allowance calls too as I run out on talkhome but just wanted to see what would happen. You get 2000 minutes but they are for other talkhome numbers.

When I did contact RWG support as no roaming charges were on their website they used to give you the link but it was calling abroad from the UK they were quick answering in minutes and not hours though.

They have appeared to have added roaming now to the website but it seems to have gone up massively. Also they say EU is charged at standard rate 5p min, free to receive and 1p a MB but select a country in the EU and it just says the standard 50p a MB. It’s this discrepancy in information that I don’t like.

So I’ll be sticking with talkhome for now. And they have an app so you can see your allowances at least.

I finally received my Nano SIM. Does anybody know how to use this SIM with a Zyxel NR5103E 5G router? It signals red and there's no internet at the moment
    mb1's avatar
Almost certainly need to change the APN. I had the same thing with Talkmobile.

    Try https://www.rwgmobile.wales/apn/
  20. dkj255's avatar
Change APN settings on the router, since the one it gets from the SIM itself is wrong.

That’s probably how they will get rid of the free sims. Surely updating payment method will not charge anything though?

    Still fighting for a refund.
    Avoid at all costs.
    rectangularcuboid's avatar
Why are you refunding it? also how long have you had the sim?
  25. simonhzero's avatar
What happens after the 1 year ends? Does it become a PAYG and you have to add another bundle?
  26. mike4scuba's avatar
Bought a sim for my wife and 9 times out of 10 it goes straight to an error message.
This service is not fit for purpose
    FIRE40's avatar
Sorry what error message do you mean?
  27. gobble_bobble's avatar
major problems with making and recieving calls. requesting a pac number and a refund for the rest of the 12 months. Their response, manually select our network which you will need to do every time it goes out of coverage.

£60? not fit for purpose and certainly not worth anything close to this.
