Picture quality is average for the price (I have the 43 inch and 50 inch of this TV and it's not offensive) but the Roku OS is great, fast, good app selection, so much better than the absolute rubbish you normally get at this price (I'm looking at you Hisense VIDAA!!). Obviously you can add a fire stick etc to any TV and "fix" this but personally I like just having one box with one remote for a neater setup (edited)

We have the Android version of this 65", picture quality is actually very good for the price (better than Hisense sets in the same price range). (edited)

I bought my TCL TV about a year ago from Costco, continually having issues connecting to apps etc when the rest of my TVs with firesticks connected work fona, and it works fine when I connect a firestick to it.
Anyone else having the same issue? Do I need to update the software or something?

I also bought the ycl from costco, apps crash a lot on it. But I think if you stick a firetv stick or something else it should resolve the issue. I was thinking to do that but we don't use the TV much. So not got around to it

No collection in Devon.... Cheapest delivery is £20, when spending £400 on a tv, you'd expect free delivery?

There is no such thing as 'free delivery' you pay for it one way or another

    £400 + £20 delivery
Or £420 and you can have 'free delivery'

I messaged to find out if I can collect anywhere. It’s not in stock at any store so unfortunately you won’t get it for £399

Picture quality on these is very good.
It also has local dimming (in the settings they call it local contrast for some reason).

We have the Android version of this 65" and it's great, even the sound quality is decent (though we use a soundbar+sub). (edited)

We have the Android version of this 65" and picture and sound quality is very good for the price (better than Hisense sets in the same price range).
They have local dimming too (called 'local contrast' in the settings if you go looking for it).

If you'd rather have the Android version it frequently dips down to £400 at Amazon -
    amazon.co.uk/gp/…h=1

You can also find it on Amazon for less sometimes though the model number elsewhere is TCL 65P638K.
I think the TCL 65P639K model is an Amazon exclusive but they are identical in every way.

You can get it for £411 at the moment with the 10% off but hughes (and others like AO, Marks, etc) often get the 15-20% vouchers which will make it even cheaper.

If you don't care about Roku/Android and use a Firestick/set top box/etc just grab this one. (edited)

Would you say the android 65" version of this is better than Hisense 70A6BGTUK?

Appreciate the Hisense is larger, but I'm more focused on features and quality (bang for buck).

I already know I'd prefer the android OS vs proprietary Hisense OS.

Personally I'd avoid that one, Tosh are awful these days.
They are actually made by Hisense, but use Tosh as their 'budget brand'.
Not good when Hisense sets themselves are usually worse value for money than TCL.

Sadly, looks like the cheapest 65" TCL with QLED is £524 after the ebay voucher -
    ebay.co.uk/itm…N=1

TCL's non-QLED TV's are still great though (we have 2). (edited)
