I still have my Amiga 500+ tucked away in my loft along with about 100 games in a locked Floppy disk storage box (edited)

Don't turn it on! The capacitors in the power pack can leak and might utterly destroy it. I have an a1200 (I know, fancy!) and I need to get it all tested before a dare plug it in again.

Search up AGS - this item with a 32gb memory stick gives you pretty much everything ever released worldwide for the Amiga in one set-up.

The Keyboard needed to a working one. I have 1500 extra games on a usb and it’s frustrating with the onscreen keyboard. Played all the games i owned from back in the day and some no more than twice, now it’s been set aside.

You can get a real mini keyboard PCB on eBay - ebay.co.uk/itm…hYg

There is also a user bleugh on here, making one bleughbleugh.wordpress.com/ but it's still not finished yet.

Plus there will eventually be the maxi version. (edited)

Stuck mine inside a A500 which was dead with a Keyrah for the keyboard connection. Loving it for that authentic feel

    Purchased to play Cannon Fodder.

After one go, it all ended up as Shelf Fodder.

Still too pricey for what it is. Sub 50 and I'll bite until then it's Winuae and AGS for me. (edited)

I really don't see the point in these nowadays, just get a firestick/droid tv, download retroarch emulator get a wireless controller & play every console game from amiga right up to ps2 add as many roms as you like too.

Aaah the A500- Neither a toy like a proper games console nor a useful productivity tool like a proper computer. Good for dosing up on nostalgia for those that thought they were playing cutting edge games in the small window of 1991-93.

The Amiga is a real computer. It's not a toy or games console. It has its own CPU, memory, gfx and audio chips and i/o to the external world to connect external devices. It runs a 32bit fully pre-emptive multi tasking OS, has applications, and games. Just like any other PC (personal computer) like an IBM x86 compatible or Apple Mac.
