Vodafone Broadband - Change of Service Notice

I received the below email saying some of the Vodafone Broadband services I get are being discontinued and now have the option to cancel my contract. Has anyone spoken to them and been offered a retention deal? There is no details online so was wondering what the census was:


Vodafone is launching a new version of the home broadband app. Your current broadband plan includes a WiFi booster with Alexa built in. The new app doesn’t fully support this device, therefore when the new app launches you won’t
be able to use the Alexa skills or Vodafone Skills including Dinnertime.

The device will still function, but only as a WiFi booster.

The Alexa skills capability will stop working from the 17th of November 2023.

Because we’re making this change, you can change or cancel your plan within the next 30 days without paying a fee. We have some great new broadband deals on offer.

    I got this too, but I'm only in contract until the end of November anyway. I'd like the wifi 6e router that pro 2 comes with but the price is silly, I could ring them and see I guess.

    I rang them and they said it was free to cancel but if I wanted to upgrade to their wifi6 package then I had to pay an upgrade fee of £150.

    Same here. My contract expires on Dec 1st so I'm tempted of calling now and see what they offer. 900mb is now 29£ a month for new customers

    I spoke with Vodafone via chat and they've offered my the 900mb plan for £29 (same they have for new customers) which I accepted. Good enough for me as I was paying £38 at the moment.

    What plan is that? Will you receive the latest Wi-Fi 6 kit from them?

    I just looked up the plan and it just comes with a router and no Wi-Fi boosters. I am assuming you where on the pro plan before which included the Alexa Wi-Fi boosters. Not sure how their contracts work... do we have to return kit or can we use the boosters after we change contracts. (edited)
