sky sports one is rubbish you cannot use it on another device, or send it to your tv to watch bit rubbish watching games on your phone to be honest.

rylideathe

Worst company ever in my opinion.

Flying_Mushroom

Nope you have to buy both Sky Sports packages (extra £5 a month). The one they offer includes Sky Sports Premier League Channel, Sky Sports Action, Sky Sports Arena, Sky Sports News and Sky News.

adamderak

Can you get formula 1 on the sky sports and can I cast it into my TV? Cheers

Great price for a grade A P20 Pro with 2 year warranty, Grade A at CEX means fully boxed as new. Unlock codes on eBay are a few quid. Amazing phone as I own one myself.
bigup

My P20 Pro arrived today from cex, handset is like new, not a mark, usb and cable have been used which is not a an issue, box and handset imei both match. used this eBay seller for an unlock code which arrived in one day and worked perfect and only £1.99! : https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F263951755293 no complaints so far.

leelukehope

I wasn’t trying to say the iPhone is better, I was replying to someone who said he knows of a £300 phone that is better than the new iPhones. I wasn’t referring to this phone. Also, the P20 Pro doesn’t have an SD card slot from what I’ve read. I’ve also watched a video on YouTube where the new iPhones outlast the galaxy note 9 in a battery test so hard to know which one to believe. Personally, if it wasn’t for the Apple ecosystem I’d have a OnePlus 6 or possibly the P20Pro. It’s far better as a stand-alone device than my iPhone 7 but because of all the other Apple stuff I use regularly, it makes much more sense to have an iPhone as my daily.

LadyEleanor

This is £445, not £300. In many scenarios this is way better. In others the iPhone wins. And it costs another £100 to add a 400GB SD card to this. You pays your money...... http://www.patentlyapple.com/patently-apple/2018/09/the-android-world-continues-to-hammer-away-at-the-iphone-xs-maxs-lower-battery-life-than-huawei-samsung-even-oneplus.html

bitcoin5

I know and yes it is better, I was referring to apple? :{

epwhamilton

Sorry - autocorrect. I was referring to the gpu. I believe that after that benchmark was done they pushed out what they call turbo boost which may have changed things.

Unless you want the contract this is cold as it leaves a mark on your credit report. Would rather spend the extra £100

WajAllRound

dealfinder2018

Search the other Carphone Warehouse threads, plenty have got their sim only contracts cancelled this week. Failing that, just return it for a full refund to carphone.

tonyspoons

In this instance? Based on? Don't get me wrong, it's a great price if it works and I know it has in the past, but a deal shouldn't be hot based on assumptions and hope.

The 50GB Red Entertainment comes with over 70 location including the USA. The 40GB Red extra only comes with majority of EU, around 40-50 location, so in my opinion the £3.50 for the extra locations, 1 x entertainment pack and 10GB extra data is so worth it. I think I will choose video as the entertainment pack data doesn’t come out of your 50GB allowance, and movies are most data heavy media in my opinion :)

previously_unknown555

Got my sim 50gig loaded and ready to go Yeah! I'd not realised you can use your allowance in many many countries that's very good. Which entertainment pack do I choose hmm. I'm not into sport so its either music or video.

sinxa

Great deal considering 50GB Data, Unlimited calls and text, choice of one of the entertainment packs, ability to use your allowances in over 100 countries and the future introduction of esim for Xs Max

previously_unknown555

I've bit. 4gb that comes with the S9 deal just doesnt go anywhere these days. Partner is having that sim card. Not expecting Topcashback to pay out the £10 as theyve already paid out this year on my S9 mobiles.co.uk vodafone contract but given it a try anyway. Sounds like cashback is easier now than my last attempt at a cashback deal 10 or more years ago, where you had vouchers to send off and weren't quite sure when to send them, although they did pay when I got it right.

ian18

I was told by three that I could port to three. So probably same for other networks. You could always port to a PAYG then back to contact as well.

Just an update my chip was cancelled. I just called again no need for an excuse they are already aware of the CPW deal so just say that you only need the phone so your cancelling within the 14 day cooling period.

deblod

They have upped the price - now it's 209 plus the vodafone 15.5.

dealicon

Being able to cancel SIM within cooling period is a consumer right. There should not be luck and patience needed here. Vodafone is simply peddling lies on CS and asking people to go to CPW instead while the actual SIM only contract is with Vodafone. This a non deal as "luck" or "lottery" is needed for it to work.

Thoughtful_Yawner

For anyone struggling to get Vodafone to cancel I'd suggest using their online chat or simply hanging up to try another advisor. It's a bit of a lottery but trying at different times may help. If you do so within the first 14 days you should be able to get avoid being charged the £15.50 fee (which is only chargeable after 1 month with Vodafone and not at point of sale). Patience and persistence needed.

dealicon

Just to add I didn't opened the phone box as I wanted to get the vodafone mess out of the way first. CPW said you can keep phone and cancel Vodafone SIM. So a no brainer decision for me. Black friday is not too far for more better phone only deals.

Mrswitch

Yeah it does, thanks. I meant argos ebay in my last comment, but I was just so dumbfounded by your comment, that I rushed mine. Fyi, they are completely different ;)

market_trader

It might be easier for you to read a comment a few times before replying so you fully understand it, it was from the Argos store on ebay as you cannot get a refurbished one in store, thought that would be quite obvious given the number of deals on here you've commented and been invovled in. Not quite sure how you think they are different, but if it helps you sleep better then we'll leave it at that.

Mrswitch

In your first comment, you implied you got the s9 from argos in a great deal, a deal the same as this one, without using any kind of code. You didn't mention the code in your first comment. I now see that the phone you were talking about, was £50-£60 more than this one. So, they are both very different deals. But thanks for the arsey reply :)

market_trader

Not quite the same as what? Commenting on a price for the same item with a better warrenty and better condition then the original deal? Thanks for the well thought out answer.

Signed up with them last year and cancelled soon after. I wasn't getting the 76Mbps they advertise, not even close. Also the router wifi was abysmal to say the least. Customer service weren't great so join at your own risk.

matth5182

Absolutely awful. Voda router is pants and drops all the time. Bought a router from Amazon and while it doesn't drop anymore, the service is throttled to unusable of an evening. You can only claim 10% off with their speed guarantee if you sync the app with the voda router but it's BS anyway as it always shows synced at 35mbs but speed test.net has it at 2.5mb. I had the same with SSE and managed to escape them after submitting hundreds of speedtests. I know people don't like them but BT have been the only solid provider for me

marc2629

£25 isn’t a bad price to be fair but I’d pay a few more £’s a month and go for plusnet

spongebob1913

John lewis and a few others still do 12 months. Sometimes more expensive, but work out the extra cashback you'd get and 6 months of earlier switching, works out about the same.

“no 4g, no 3g, no 2g” so it’s not even a phone let alone a smartphone

nihcaj

I use one of those as a "car phone" as my Bluetooth in the car is very temperamental and hates my usual phone, in fact it hates all more sophisticated phones! It stays in the centre console box out of vision and reach. A Three PAYG sim completes the setup. It stays on permanent charge and is left on so it connects everytime I turn on the car. Even if I don't use it, say over a weekend it's still got loads of charge left. Frees me from being too bothered in the car too as only certain people have that number. I needed a solution to the feeble bluetooth problem but turns out to be a good way of being connected when driving, just not TOO connected :-)

jdbigguy

Amazon calling it a "Smartphone" is a hell of a stretch. Even Alcatel don't list it as a smartphone and here's why: No wi-fi no gps no 4g, no 3g, no 2g, no g what so ever no touchscreen (screen resolution is an awful 128 x 160 pixels) no downloadable apps (Operating system is ThreadX) no storage (4mb not gb memory) without adding an sd card no selfies (single camera only) in vga (any picture larger than a postcard will be very grainy and awful, maybe that's what VGA stands for (it doesn't, but it should) However if all you want is to make phone calls this will do the job for a silly price.
