Great work as always. Do you think there will be any decent Black Friday deals? My son wants a gaming pc for Xmas but thinking of waiting as close to Xmas as possible. Thanks.

Hard to say; certain parts from the states are on the way up, but lucky most buys are done in the summer by firms. there is cracks in the prebuilt market, say for example we got nice 6700XT, that we also had in self build, what about 6800 like the self builders had. so i expect perhaps over time some areas will improve that havnt been bashed at yet over the coming period.

i dont think; what has been shown will improve, but i dont expect them to vanish.

    Time is decent thing.

One hit wonders: we hope. (edited)

Anything decent for around the £800 mark? I keep putting it off as I get bewildered by all the comments saying upgrade this, change that!
Also, is it worth waiting for black Friday/cyber Monday for any deals???

Here's what I think with regards to Black Friday.

Black Friday concentrates sales to one day or a few days. It causes uncertainty for both seller and buyer. Retailers honestly can't like Black Friday whatsoever, as they usually require constant sales over the working year. Black Friday disrupts this for a month or two before.

Secondly if I'm a retailer and I know people buy PC parts for Christmas why am I going to significantly drop prices of all the components and lose profit margin.

So logically there could be some odd surprise drops but I think we're priced in now for the Christmas period. The closer it gets to Christmas the less chance of good deals arising.

What's the geforce competitor to the and 6650xt in terms of performance?

id say its now the 4060

3060 12GB does have Nvidia features and 12GB so two points but raw performance is 6650xt
6650XT in raw performance is under TI, and 100% under the DDR6x TI.

so the nearest in performance is 4060

4060 is more cost does have the nvidia bonus features, this lacks that but better costing.

The 6650XT also under the 4500/5500 and any cpu under A520 MB platform would be better as you really do need ay 4.0 CPU/Board for the 4060, where as the 6650xt is really nice still and not like the 6500xt.

lots of video on line of the 6650XT just ignore the old Ytube video when they compare it to 6600XT as they count it as a pointless release, - the 6600xt got Discounted, and certain things mature better over time too, but use the graphs as guides. (edited)

Why is there £18 difference between PNY CS90 500GB (£31.99) and Adata XPG SX8200 1TB (£49.99) on their website, but on the selection in this deal it's £29.99?

perhaps the skul was made when it first came out and not changed price in a while.

£31.99 is rather expensive for that drive now. (edited)

Game Max Rampage 600W Bronze Rated PSU
    MSI Spatium M371 1TB NVME M.2 SSD*

    • Price: 702.96 Via Code and selecting ** products.
    • Higher grade nvme/psu on site, but target deal of the £700 ranges.
    • AWD-IT systems come preloaded with unactivated windows.

Another Alt £700 to the costco deal,

    • A card with much more better RRP and value to performance.
    • ---> which means better Money investment in CPU/Board for same price.
    • Loss of windows licence, but a seller that loads it.

is this better than the costco deal? Also with the new NVIDIA Graphics cards coming out, can I upgrade the cards in the near future on this rig?

    AM 4 AMD GPU series

    VOLT Package - AMD 6600 6650xt 6700xt (AMD40 for £40 off) from £469.99 with code
    SNIPER Package - AMD 6650xt 7600 7700xt from £439.99

price on the volt is £59.99 for the 6650xt over 6600 that means it takes the £469.99 with code to 529.99
However: The Sniper has the mesh case option inside of it that cost £10 in the volt = £539.99
However back: the Volt has the A520 2 board vs the A520 1 board but both are £40 for the B550 wifi.

Volt is £29.99 vs £24.99 in the snipper for the 5500
Volt doesnt have 5600 but has 5600x at 79.99
Snipper has 5600 at 54.99 but not 5600x at 79.99
snpper has 5700x at £99.99 has volt has it at £119.99

awd-it systems come with windows preloaded with windows, but not activated. so ur choice if u want to activate it. (edited)

Hey Sarden, wondering if you can help me with some upgrade advice, I recently built(my first ever!) budget gaming pc, same as this: uk.pcpartpicker.com/gui…ild

I'm currently just playing old games, WoW Classic etc and it's great for that, but I'd like to gradually upgrade it over time, do you have an idea of what a good upgrade plan for this would be?
A graphics card is first on the list I guess, but which?

What sort of level of settings will something like this play fortnite at. My son wants to move to pc ,he's using my old laptop but that struggles at anything above medium settings . He was on series X but now wants an Xbox .

I'm on a budget n don't wanna get him something thats not going to improve on what he's using now or not last a little while .

What's the best options for getting windows 11 on one of these? What sort of costs are you looking at?
    demonizer84_'s avatar
I ordered ,upgraded the graphics card , if you have a mate with a pc or laptop or one yourself you just need a usb drive with at least 8gb of space then download the windows installer and buy a key off cd keys for about 11 quid , not paying £100 direct
