Meaco 25L dehumidifier night mode issue

Just bought a Meaco arete 25L dehumidifier, set it to get the humidity down to 55, and when night came, I wanted to put it in night mode, but the fan speed doesn't seem to reduce itself. The display shuts down and I get confirmation that its in night mode, but it's still noisy. Humidity level is currently at 63, so still some way to get to the set 55. Is that why the fan speed is at almost full blow ?

I have to manually switch mine to the lower fan setting. I think it only drops to the lower setting automatically when it nears the target humidity level

How are you doing this ? I had a quick look in the manual, and can't see anything about manual adjust the fan

I have the 20L version. When you press the night mode button it definitely does sound quieter.

I'm here for the same concern you have. My 25l in night mode sounds as loud as normal mode which is making me wonder why everyone says its so quiet at night when it's going big guns for hours!

Yes, it’s not quiet at all I would say. All the reviews I've read everyone said how silent it is. While during the day it doesn't bother us, during the night, if we leave it on the hallway, it does mess with my brain a bit.

In the end, I discovered that when I put mine in night mode, it does goes a tiny bit lower with the fan intensity, but it's not enough for me to call it quiet.
