We are deliberating over various Samsung deals inc the one on here from crampton and Moore techy mate advises Sony but his pockets are deeper than mine and I can’t justify the extra £700 though our 12 yr old Sony is still fab it’s just only a 40 inch and partner wants a big screen

If you have the money I can highly recommend the Samsung Neo QLED QN95C as I've just got the 55in a few weeks ago, it's an amazing picture and reviews says it's nearly as good as a high end OLEDs and from what I've seen on YouTube comparisons this is correct.

The reasons I didn't chose an OLED are I didn't want the hassle of burn in, pink tinged screens or banding which are very common on OLEDS. I also wanted a really bright picture and as I game didn't want to deal with 30fps judder which is far worse on an OLED and could trigger my motion sickness.

I respect the fact that people want an OLED but I'm just not ready for the hassle so I got the best alternative.

Agree as I don’t want to commit to a Oled as I keep reading about pixels appearing and patches etc

Anything but a Samsung especially if you rely on apps to further your experience. Samsungs app store is quite rubbish compared to the TVs that come with google play store. I got one a few months ago and really wouldn't recommend it.

I normally use a Firestick 4K Max but I find with the QN95C the usual streaming apps work great so I'm using them alot more and the only time I use the Firestick now is for my dodgy streaming app.

I would be good if I could install those direct onto the TV though but most of those are not on the Play Store. (edited)
