Hardwired NextBase dashcam stopped working.

The little red light on the mount has gone out, and the little unit that flashes blue that tells you it's all working doesn't flash either. I'm guessing it could be the two amp fuse, is this what it could be?

    2 things to check.
One the fuse you have talked about.
The next is the dash cam its self.
Un plug it and connect it to another power source.
12V cig lighter for eg or comp.
My friend has had 2 dash cams fail.
    Both were nextbase.
one was the mount it sits in, power was going in but not to the cam.
The second had an internal fault.

51457569-ERHgh.jpgCheers bigwheels. I tried changing the 2amp fuse, no luck. There's no power going to this little unit here when I put the old and new fuses in. I'm at a compete loss.

Probably the hardwire kit has failed , how long has it been wired in? You could try it in a different fuse on the board and see if that powers.

Is there a way to diagnose if the kit is dead? I've had it about a year, if that.

I've got a new hardwire kit. Thing is though, when I was trying the fuses on the old kit, and putting the fuse tap back into the cigarette lighter slot, there was a spark? I think this was blowing the fuse, as it stopped working. Can anyone help and tell me why it's sparking? I don't want to try the new kit until I can find out why this is happening. Thank you.
