Best 65 inch 4k tv for £500?

Brother wants a 65 inch 4k tv to wall mount and has a budget of £500. His budget is pretty rigid and can't go over.

I've looked at some deals and it seems his options are a Hisense or TCL model. Which would be considered the "best" tv's for his budget?

Also what are the things to look out for features wise? Are there any technologies that are an absolute necessity for a good picture on a 65" budget tv?

Depends if you just want a big screen beyond everything else?

Do you need next gen (or rather current now) gaming features like 120hz and hdmi 2.1 for ps5 & Xbox series X?

There are lots of technical things to do with TVs now.

    Panel type ads/IPS or VA
Back light type (edge, direct, full array, mini led)
If it has qled, nanocell, or similar
    Processor/SOC, ram, storage.
Smart OS - Manufacturers own or other (Amazon fire tv, Android/Google TV, Roku)

I don't know how deep you want to go into it all?

In summary. You definitely want Qled and direct LED or preferably full array. Mini led is probably out your price range unless you drop to 50/55 inch or increase the budget slightly. Try and avoid standard LCD without qled and anything edge lit.

Wow, a 65" in a kids bedroom. Some people don't have that in the living room.

Contrary to that deal post. That Toshiba is not a gaming set as stated in the deal. It's only got 3 x Hdmi 2.0 ports and the panel is only standard 50/60hz. So will only be capable of 1080p or 4k @ 60hz max.
