Best SIM-only plans for school kids: Need advice

I'm looking for a SIM-only plan for my 11-year-old child to use for school. They need a plan with enough data for basic internet usage, such as checking email and browsing school websites. They also need unlimited calls and texts to stay in touch with me and their friends. Does anyone have any recommendations?

    Lyca or Lebara. Lyca uses EE and Lebara uses Vodafone

    Monthly 15GB data + unlim calls+SMS @ £2.74 for 4 months than optionally continue at £6.95/m no contract.
    Possibly £12 bung via TCB.
    Lebara = Voda.

    Good luck policing that restriction.

    I got rwg. One off payments last for a year or two. . Runs on EE.

    I got stung with the auto renew Lebara SIM - they have some good offers for 6 months. I intended to switch them over after 6 months to a new SIM, but of course they wanted to keep their numbers. I ended up porting over to Lyca for another 6 months and lost that deal as the Cyber attack prevented the auto renew. So I am tempted to port back to the 99p/month deal with Lebara.
    Also worth checking the "in network" calls - I know Lebara offer free unlimited Lebara to Lebara calls, other networks may do as well.
