Thinking of getting a Pixel 8

Hi.
I currently have a Xiaomi 12 Lite which works well apart from a couple of small niggles. So I'm thinking about getting a Pixel 8, is this a good upgrade or not worth the extra money ?

The issues I have with the Xiaomi are:
1. Every so often when I unlock the screen the display is over saturated. I have to lock and unlock it again.
2. MIUI is killing background apps, This is apps that have been pinned and should be running. Battery saved etc is disabled for them.
3. If I connect to my car via wireless Android Auto, everything seems OK until I lose my 4G/5G connection. When the 4G/5G reconnects is causes the wireless connection to drop and reconnect which kills Android Auto. I've seen this is an issue for other mobiles, but most have the option of disabling smart networking which helps with this. The Xiaomi doesn't have this option.

Does anyone know if the Pixel 8 has these issues or any other major issues I should be aware of ?
Thanks

I've always had Pixels in the last few years and they've always been reliable. Camera is amazing and no stutters or issues.

The new pixel 8 looks like a brilliant phone. Just check some of the one month plus reviews on them.

I've got a Pixel 8, and I've had none of the problems that you mention. In fact, I've had no issues at all with it, I'm very happy with the phone. (edited)
