It's too cheap.. bit scary considering the risks at play will wait to hear from someone that owns it on here. (edited)

Ask them to make it more expensive if you think it will make it safer

Anyone know if each of the 3 sockets can be WiFi controlled individually?

Wonder if this is compatible with a 3kw oil filled radiator? (edited)

3kw heater on that is a no no.

Can you control the USB ports remotely as well on these, typically?

Not the best reviews of the company on Trustpilot. Obviously cheap so not a lot to lose

buying more, easy to confiure with homeassistant through Tuya. USB controllable..... it all works and feels reasonable quality

If struggling, as with nearly all iot devices, make sure you are on 2.4ghz WiFi. You router should allow you to create 2 ssids, and select one to just be on 2.4ghz.

If be interested if I could control this via either ewelink or smarthome, just don't want a third app! (edited)

It's Tuya so will work with Smart Life.

I worry if they have a 13amp fuse or not?

image shows a place for a fuse so i would assume they are fused

Mine just came and really surprised with the quality. Solid, heavy plastic.

Working but never had to turn off my 5gz on the router before to setup a smart plug. Once done though just turned back on and all good. Have to use two apps now to turn on my plugs but Google Home voice can control each switch at least.

Also shows in the Google Home app but only turn all on or all off and not each switch like it's app. (edited)

Odd, I can control each switch and the usbs individually through google home. Can also switch them all on or aff together. Each switch is a different toggle in Google home though (there are 5 toggles in google home for this one adapter), Which google can combine together if you name them light 1/light 2 etc.

I've got four lights, USB, plumbed into an Anker charging station, plugged into one of those tplink switches, plugged into a 4 gang, plugged into an 8 gang, into the wall. Seems ok!

Worth a punt for £7. Will be useful for the Christmas lights rather than the mess of extension leads I had!

    Thanks, just ordered two.

    eBay feedback looks good

To be fair on quality I got the Timeguard extension lead a few week back and it's ok.

Also Timeguard have been around for years in the heating game and timeclock control so yes I'm with other and have TP-link in the house and now one of these. So they have a lot to lose pushing cheap stuff.

The timer on my combi boiler is broken, if I plug boiler into this could I use it to switch the heating on instead of having to do it manually

Or maybe something similar but better quality (edited)
    HellriderUKDeals69's avatar
I don't think it's a good idea to plug a boiler to this! The boiler is supposed to come on and off automatically as per desired temperature.

I reckon it'll be fine on low wattage stuff.... Not fires, combi boilers or kettles

y smart plugs which would work with high powered electric heaters?
  16. dwl99's avatar
Definitely going to get this for the HA compatibility
    Adamau5's avatar
can recommend the LocalTuya HACS plugin. You arent reliant on the tuya cloud then. bit of a faff to setup, but then free from the cloud.

Setting up was a hassle as the light didn't flash when it was in pairing mode and just stayed solid but it eventually paired. Anyone else get this?
