The USBs are low powered, not very suitable for latest smartphones, but otherwise fine.

Do you know if that's 10watt shared or each usb has 10 watts?

Surge protection on something this small will be pretty useless/ineffective.

Also worth noting that these types of adapters can be dangerous when loaded with too many plugs or weight. Sometimes they will droop down if weighed down too much and the earth pin can disconnect from the wall, which can lead to a fire. I've known organisations to ban the use of these and use extension leads instead.

As a firefighter. I can concur. We’ve had plenty of fires due to these types of plugs being overloaded. Buy a strip 4 way adaptor instead

We need a plug redesign to make them smaller so we can get more on the wall sockets instead of needing these.
