About this deal

If you're looking for a skateboard for someone between 4 and 10, this is an excellent option (which I've bought our boys).

Mini Logo are really well-regarded. They're owned by Powell Peralta.

The trucks are perhaps the main selling point - decent skateboard decks and wheels can be had relatively cheaply, but trucks is where quality shows, and Mini Logo trucks are a rare instance of a budget option which everyone rates highly. Professional rider Andy Anderson rides and rates them.

The deck is hard maple, made next to the Powell Peralta decks. This is a better quality wood than the maple used in other boards. It's also slightly shorter than the average boards which is really important for shorter/younger riders - note: a lot of the alternatives are the same length as adult boards and a much more awkward proposition for children.

Similarly, the Mini-Logo wheels are considered very good, and these are a bit softer than the standard wheels which makes the ride smoother, more forgiving, and less likely to get stopped by pebbles.

Lastly, it comes with Mini-Logo bearings which are often said to be the equivalent of the industry benchmark Bones Reds.

All in all it's a board that will serve a child from beginner to as good as they can get. It's a proper board with no weaknesses and for a price the same or lower than a lot of far inferior alternatives.

EDIT: For adults and teenage riders, their larger, 8.25" board, at £43.95 is another very good deal:

Just to say I bought this board for my son as a late Christmas present and it's SOOO GOOD. Tempted to buy anotber set of trucks and wheels for my board because it's smooth as butter and rolls lovely. What a steal for £40 delivered.

Yeah, our boys were really happy with them.

Bear in mind, the wider decks/trucks come with harder wheels.
