Good luck! I'm a little different with mobility issues that I'm working on at the moment, but make sure you stretch properly before and after and consider wearing pads. Turns out we don't bounce like we used to :D Had my ollie back within 2 attempts (Stood still) It's balance that is going to take me a while to get back. Can ride around, but tense up a little in the feet and calves. It will come back to you eventually.
I’ll be starting again after 20 years to try an teach the boy.... wish me luck :S
Tried it on the Rocket mini, hat, pads combo. No joy on that
Haha! Awesome to hear. Managed to get my ollie and switch ollie back, but need to sort my hamstring and nerve issue out over the next year or so, so that I can skate confidently again. No idea why I stopped really, but treated myself to a Powell Peralta Flight deck as a reward for when I fix myself. Something to work towards! The Blueprint is great for getting back into it though!
Heat! Same here @Ken. Skated upto late teens then stopped. Just started again 15 years later. It never really left my blood. 🤘
Where's the best £55 complete board you would go to nowadays? Looking for a good full board for the kids that will last and grow with them so following this thread (y)
Was more thinking that it's a cheap way for someone to replace or build with their existing parts, really. If you didn't need a complete then spending much more for parts you don't need yet, might not be something that everyone wants to do :) However having spare parts is nice
you can buy the full board for £55, like you say it includes trucks which are £20 alone, wheels which are £9, £12 bearings, £2.50 bolts, and some kind of free tool for the wheels/trucks so £20 seems like a terrible price when you have to then buy over £40 of stuff to complete it. You can order it disassembled if you want to build it yourself.
Until this deal went live yesterday :D Couple of others I might have been tempted by. Happy with the Blueprint for now though.
Ah, mine was £60, too. Seemed like the best option, rather than going wild spending £100+ (embarrassed)
Yeah same, the ones on mine are rated for about 70KG I think. I've tightened the life out of them and it's not ideal. New ones arriving today though. Sounds like you have a different graphic to mine. Mine is this one Here Although the boards will be the same. :)
Same one as you from the sounds of it. Blueprint with the spraypaint heart decal. Have had to get some harder bushings, though (lol)
Thanks Op, have gone for the Anti hero classic Eagle. Recently been using my daughter's boards, and forgotten the sense of freedom you get. Loved it. Never too old to start again. In my 50's now. 😜
Pick up similar here for £5 with £3.95 postage. https://www.only5pounds.com/products/balance-board-pp-39x8cm-gray-orange?_pos=1&_sid=611958b00&_ss=r Plenty of other exercise equipment available to for single postage.
Physio room do some good value ones too - postage is around £3 though so prices roughly the same https://search.physioroom.com/search?ts=customv2&w=Balance%20board
Great find, it looked familiar as I've been looking around and remembered where they had the same! https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/wood-balance-board-diameter-39-5-cm-height-7-5-cm/_/R-p-143795?mc=8343000&c=BLACK

It is similar but not the same. There are levels of quality down to even the bolts that hold the setup together.
I looked at boards for my daughter in the summer and these rocket boards seemed very well reviewed for the price.
You're talking my language - my last board was a Powell deck from City Surf, Indy trucks, & bullets. Got a T- Shirt signed by Tony Hawk (& Lance Mountain) in about '90 I think it was (give or take however long), then promptly carried on wearing and washing it daily until it turned to dust. Happy days. My brother (who was good mates with Matt Pritchard as it goes since I've seen him mentioned here, & so I've been out on the lash with him a few times over the years, not that he would remember) bought me a Bones T-Shirt about 5 years ago, which I still wear frequently but no-one seems to recognise what it is! Happy days again. Was in the same form at secondary school (but was never the same league - I was happy to land a decent ollie) as "Dyke" Matt Ryan. As to what to buy now, no idea! Barely knew 30 years ago. @kos1c fair play on landing that.
is this the same board? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rocket-Skateboards-Rasta-Fade-Complete-Skateboard-31-5-x-8-0/402470821113?hash=item5db5215cf9:g:98QAAOSw9TtfdxPo not a lot of detail but seems to be similar setup?
My original comment got deleted for self promoting. Some simple advice is keep an eye on YouTube on how to do X trick. As well if you get the confidence ask a local skateboarder at the park for some tips. We are a friendly lot!

Annoyingly just opened the box and it was knee and elbow pads. I really thought it was just a pair of knee pads. Or I would've bought another set or 2. >
Thank you :)
Cool! Best of luck with that :)
It's teaching people how to skateboard in London, 1 on 1, or 1 instructor up to a max of 6 students. Usk8.co.uk I used to run as an instructor for a weekend class of 10 with another company prior to starting my own thing.
