Turkish Netflix price going up again !

Just got the email from 29th Feb price going up from 149.99 to 176.99 for my standard plan. I know it’s still cheap compared to uk prices but I remember starting from 17.99 then 24.99 basic one but standard was around 40.99 and recently in last year 4 times they increased the price.

Just an update. Went onto live chat as @Superman80 suggested but it wasn't successful.

"You might used it in past but as confirmed since jan 2024 system will only accept local issue card from country you are physical present it ."

So, if you ever need to swap cards, you may struggle. He suggested gift cards to me, or obviously, a local bank card.

The bank card I tried was Starling.

This just happened to me. My card has years left on it but got a message "your membership is paused. Let's get you watching again"

I'm sure actual Turks are devastated at this increase for you

Thanks. However. it's the GBP price that matters. Turkish lira weakening all the time against everything. 38.6 to pound now Vs 22 a year ago! And 10 year before that etc. Turkey is a high inflation country. Prices go up all the time. But currency gets trashed. (edited)

Isn't it about to goto 224.99?

If you notice, you're still paying more or less the same in GBP. So prices aren't going up for you, they're just maintaining it.

They won't accept my new Starling card now... any way around this? Last one expired

Has anyone downgraded a Turkish account (to reduce costs)? Will a/c continue without a problem, or might it cause a problem? (edited)

I did a few price hikes ago. Didn't have any issues. However, as others have noted, it might be a case of poking the bear at this point in time as they seem to be wising up.

Looks like they're cracking down on this. Logged in today and got "your membership is paused. Let's get you watching again".

My card has many years until it expires. No money issues.

I think they're stopping cards from other countries.

Then it must just be a matter of time for me.

Crazy man. Everything is going up instead of salary.

Yeah my Turkish Netflix has risen by 47p per month.

    It's an outrage.

Also for the first time we had a family member at different address who got the "different household, are you travelling" message.

Had to login on the same family members WiFi using my mobile to authorise for a month (edited)
