As a side note, if you see "various sugars" in anything marketed towards cats, it's a massive red flag. Cats cannot digest carbs, have no need for them. Sugar is there to be addictive for the cats, just like it is for humans. And it's just as harmful to them as it is to us.

They're carnivores. They don't need veg, they don't need rice or potato fillers. They just need meat and a sprinkle of nutrients.

Does your litter box smell all the time? That's cause you're slowly killing your pet by feeding it crap that it can't tolerate.

Highly recommend Katkin to anyone who actually cares about their cats. If you have one cat you can be smart and buy a month of their 400cal sleeves and spread it over two months, which works out at £30 per month per cat. It's just meat, fed twice a day.

Kibble/biscuits are also incredibly destructive to cat health. They aren't grazers. They don't eat biscuits in the wild. Just like humans, they get fat and unhealthy if they eat biscuits all day.

Feed them some real meat morning and night, have clean smelling litter boxes all year round, be happy. Happy cat, happy owner.

If you don't believe any of this because you've been brainwashed by the marketing that says they NEED wet and dry food, just feed them some Lily's pate or chunky for a couple days and see for yourself.

How about putting your packets back to 100g again you greedy snakes
    superhans0113's avatar
and going back to the old recipe,

old fans of the brand say the 100g was a different recipe to the 85g,

and now their cats won't eat the new pack,

also less meat and more jelly in the smaller packs.

Putting in food more cheap veggies as meat and asking more for smaller and smaller packs. Well done ! (edited)

Yeah, do your cats beg for CARROTS? (Mine don’t.)

I'm sure many of the sharper people already know, but your vet is sponsored and paid to promote various brands of cat "food".

They're telling you to feed Royal Canin wet and dry because they're paid to tell you that. The practice receives a lot of money to have their branded food displayed in the surgery.

One giant corporation owns most of the food in supermarkets. They aren't different brands, they're full of the same junk. Even Lily's, despite being one of the better supermarket brands, uses the same production line as all of the others despite being a separate company.

Feeding cats this junk also guarantees more vet visits, which guess what? Means more £££ for the vet.

Your cat is a carnivore, put the whiskas down.

I grew up with my parents having cats since the early 80s and now I've recently got 2 cats. My mind boggles how cats are now supposed to need such fancy food and vaccines. Our cats grew up in the 80s and 90s and lived to be nearly 20 years old. They were fed supermarket canned food, cat biscuits and whatever they hunted. Have cats genetics deteriorated that badly or is it all money making marketing hysteria?

That's the kids Friday night meal sorted, I wonder if I could get 2 of these deals and just need mash to go with it.

    Freezing.

This is the feline equivalent of feeding your kids McDonalds for every meal.

It's animal cruelty and you know it, but it's cheap so it's good right?
