In the most part supplementation it isn't going to harm anyone, isn't expensive, but deficiency is widely linked to a LONG list of nasty outcomes inc cardiovascular disease & dementia so frankly why not?
In this case, Fakespot gives this product an F, says 28% of reviews are reliable and contain a high level of deception. Only 80 reviews so not a large sample. Feel free to ignore, just an FYI.
I boosted my levels up by taking 50,000iu a day for 1 month. I also took 1 x 200ug of Vit K2 MK7 per 10,000iu of vit D3.
I started to feel better within a few days.
After that month, I reduced to 10,000iu a day. Every day, and have done so since then. I never get ill. Ever.
I came off the painkillers within a week of me starting the 50,000iu doses and have not had 1 painkiller since.
I had a hip replacement after a few years and my specialist said I had the "healthiest levels of Vit D" he'd seen in a patient. My level was 235nmol/L. The government recommended level is 70nmol/L.
I was back at work 4 weeks after the operation.
You can't overdose on Vitamin D3.
4000iu is enough to only maintain your current level.
You take the Vit K2 MK7 to help transport the Vit D3 around your body and also to eliminate the build up of calcium in your blood due to the high levels of Vit D3.
I get the same Vit D3 in 10,000iu from nuunutrition. 365 tablets for about £13.
It also appears that Vit D can increase calcium levels and the Magnesium can help regulate the Calcium levels.
Like all supplements and medicines, always best to research it before taking it! If you watch someone like Dr John Campbell on YouTube, he is a strong supporter of Vit D for a myriad of reasons, which he goes in to great detail about. (edited)

My Wife has recently been diagnosed with low vit d and Doctor has been recommended 1000 IU per day. I personally take 4000 IU. with no ill effects.
So which is it 400, 600, 1000, 4000 or 20000?

Recent studies show we are normally dosed in the tens of thousands of international units as healthy humans.
In the UK we don't get enough sun (skin makes vit d via sunlight) so everyone should be looking into this as the health benefits are numerous.
Dr John Campbell is a good launch point for guidelines, and YOUR dose will be different to mine, based on weight, skin colour and lifestyle.
There is no "correct dose" only what's right for you....
If you want Vitamin D go for the ones which are oil or liquid based.
Don't go for these combo ones.
It's about quality not quantity
4000iu is not that high anyway even if claims suggest otherwise & Amazon are very selective to go higher may need to shop at other places.
You should take Vit D with fatty meal as well paired with eggs is great which will cover K2 anyway. (edited)
When you are exposed to sun, your body produces several hundred+ different compounds, Not only this vitamin D...
If you want to actually get a benefit, buy a cheap holiday to sunny destination.
You NEED sun, but not in pill form...Placebo at best.
None of the good recent studies actually show any benefit of taking vit d supplements.
Marketing scam to get you to spend money on vit D tests and on supplements.
Literary like 90percent of people are "deficient " in it when tested, not that it means anything in real life ...

So I asked him what zinc, magnesium and k2 had he had that day and from what foods and how did he know the dose consumed.
He had no answer.
They had severe vitamin D deficiency (ultra high skin cancer risk, so wears Factor 50 even in Winter) and so the GP prescribed a high dose. There was a mix up which ended up with them taking 10 times that the GP had intended. Something to do with conversion of IU to micrograms and a slipped decimal point with possibly poor communications skills. Anyhow - the next blood test caught it and the hospital consultant I think was a bit peeved with the GP. The consultant said that they could have lost one or both kidneys.
No, I cannot remember the doses - it was, fortunately, years ago. They are still on 1000IU three times a week. No symptoms. Good thing, blood tests...
The vitamin would be a minisicule flake if it didn't have any bulking ingredient. The vitamin content of these are 100 micrograms.
I just checked out that brand and their first ingredient is a bulking and anti-caking agent.
Right that's it.. easy option, I don't need it and was only going to buy it because of HUKD. (edited)

They say and explain this by their own admission.
What they say though is that they don't use 'nasty' fillers which is just mumbo jumbo, like most of their scare tactic marketing.
However you should 'supllement' this supplement with getting outdoors as much as possible, which in itself has positive effects on health
It's a common deficiency in UK. Tablets are best absorbed with main meal. Ensure you have plenty magnesium in your diet. Cant say too much but dosage guidelines are commonly based on bone health and do not factor in what is optimal for health. Look up pubmed 'Effect of calcifediol treatment and best available therapy versus best available therapy on intensive care unit admission and mortality among patients hospitalized for...' you know what, and get your mind blown.
