Spec me a gaming PC

Hi all. I'm looking to get a gaming pc for my son for his 18th. I used to work in IT and built a few high spec PCs years ago but I've been out of the industry for years and I've fallen behind current trends. I'm looking to spend around £1k, plus a monitor maybe. Not looking to build from scratch so does anyone know of any reputable gaming pc suppliers who sell pre built machines and could recommend a decent spec for a grand?

    The OP for these kind of deals is regularly posting pc builds from Palicomp and a few other retailers

    Vouch for sarden (now fairprice). always has a great job finding the best deals in this market and has always been helpful. haven't had personal experience myself with the dude but he's always been helpful in the comments.
