In TAXTOPIA a rogue accountant breaks ranks to share his journey from clueless naïf to skilled tax consultant -and in doing so blows the lid on the murky world of making the tax burdens of the ultra-wealthy disappear.

In the topsy-turvy world of tax avoidance, you can get richer by buying a yacht, the world's biggest exporter of coffee is Switzerland, and billionaires like Jeff Bezos, Donald Trump and the Duke of Westminster often pay less tax than you do.

Written with sharp wit and over-brimming with inside secrets, the anonymous author shows us that not only does the global tax system encourage dubious practice which favours the rich, but that it was specifically founded with that in mind.

If you suspect that tax is a rigged game, a con, designed to fleece the little guy, you are about to find out just how shockingly true that really is.

Welcome to TAXTOPIA.

Put as much as you can afford (think it went up to £60k per year) into a pension

I can't seem to download this at the moment. Connection can be ropey at times in Monaco..I'll try again later.

I watched Putins Palace by Navalny last week. Unfortunately I had to smile whilst thinking of those that might think hiding money like that is exclusive to Russia, China & 3rd World countries.

I've listened to the audiobook of this - I imagine it's the most engaging and funny book about taxation you'll ever read - fascinating stuff.

It made me so interested in offshore dealings that I then went and downloaded The Panama Papers.

    Well worth a read.

A book on the injustices of tax evasion. Sold on Amazon. Sometimes the jokes write themselves...

Then follow it by reading The Panama Papers. How that scandal just went away is a mystery.

We need to read a book to teach us how to be tax smart, won't help reading what others get away with due to their position and wealth.

Citizens of the Bahamas do not pay taxes on income, inheritance, gifts, or capital gains, lovely place too.
