Xbox ps5 and soundbar

I have 2 hdmi 2.1 connections on my TV both connections are on hdmi 3 and 4 on my TV but the arc connection for my soundbar is on hdmi 3. I have both series x and ps5 but can't plug both consoles into the 2.1 connections due to the sounbar needing hdmi 3 anyone know a way around this other than having to keep changing the leads at the back every time?

If the soundbar has a hdmi 2.1 input you can plug a console through that into the TV. If not then you could try using an optical cable to output the audio to the soundbar, if it has an optical input.

You haven't told us what inputs/outputs your soundbar has but you could use a HDMI Switch plugged into an input on the soundbar, then connect the consoles to the HDMI switch and the soundbar to the Arc HDMI port on the TV.
Plenty to choose from on Amazon. I'd go for a manual one rather than an auto one.

Lack of Inputs on many Soundbars is one of the downsides in the trend of moving away from AV Receivers (edited)

You could try a HDMI switch box and run both consoles through that.

Model of TV and soundbar should be your first piece of info

Optical cable if your TV and sound bar have one.
