About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
3 year warranty
Factory specials - this batch are brand new, in perfect condition with a 3 year warranty, supplied in obsolete packaging, limited stock available.
This 1/2" router has been specifically designed for both freehand use and for mounting in a router table. The router features a micro-fine height adjuster handle which allows you to adjust and precision set the cutter height with ease, when upright or inverted in a table. It is also excellent for fine height adjustment when working with dovetail jigs. One full revolution of the micro-fine adjuster handle raises or lowers the cutter height by 1mm and three position turret depth stop allows for precise repetitive routing depths.
The powerful 2200 watt motor features variable speed control from 9000 to 22000rpm and has constant speed under load ensuring a fine finish to the workpiece on hardwoods, softwoods and composite woods. The motor has in built soft start on the slowest speed to eliminate sudden movement of the router on start up. A spindle lock combined with a hex collet nut results in fast and easy bit changes.
The base of the router is fitted with a phenolic glide plate measuring 160mm in diameter which ensures excellent stability and smooth passage in free hand mode and features a wide 65mm aperture for accepting large cutters when in table mode. The phenolic plate can be removed from the base to reveal locating holes for mounting to a router table insert plate. Industry standard guide bushes are accommodated for via two easy to access set screws. The all steel side fence also features an adjustment knob that allows for micro-adjustment to set the routing width.
Weighing 5.8kg the router has two large ergonomic handles combined with a conveniently positioned on/off switch which make this a very comfortable router to operate. The router is supplied with a 35mm diameter dust port, 1/2" collet, 3/8" and 1/4" collet sleeves, collet spanner, adjustable steel side fence, 16mm guide bush, 12.7mm TCT router bit, clear bit guard and a bearing edge guide. This is a powerful 1/2" collet router designed for both freehand and table use that has the advantage of a micro-fine height adjuster which ensures fast and precise routing. Highly recommended

There's a review on the website too:
"Nigel S on
Great service from Rutland's delivered on the day promised.Excellent product for 100. I am only going to use it with a table so can't comment on all the attachments for hand use. It is worth taking your time setting up because once installed properly it is an excellent piece of kit. The height adjustment is perfect, make sure you position the router on the table so as to get easy access to the adjusting knob. To align the centre of the router spindle with the centre hole of the table insert I turned in wood a stepped insert to fit in the centre hole of the table insert and the centre hole of the routers plastic base which you have to remove anyway. Position the router plastic base on the table insert plate aligning using the turned insert, make sure it is the preferred orientation then use the fixing holes on the plastic base as a template to mark the hole on the table insert. Drill and counter sink the holes and fix the router to the insert plate. Perfect for use with a table" (edited)
Feel free to add more cultural references to HUKD for me to Google!
My Titan cheapie has just just been skipped. The height-adjusted lock rounded the cheesium metal screw (the plastic lock long since broke) - and the collet refused to keep a 1/4" bit in place ruining some work.
Been getting away with my 1/4" palm router - just - but would not touch titan or any cheap versions any more and my good go to brands are ££££££ which is too much for my 2 DIY jobs a year....
Never heard of Rutland tools?
Anyone any first hand experience of this? Depth lock good? Debris extraction good? collets good?
Poor credit card
