This may be free, but for good reason - it’s years out of date and probably more of interest to social historians than visitors.

The diplodocus in the entrance hall of the Natural History Museum, to take just one small (small?!) example, disappeared 7 years ago!

This shows that anybody will click plus on this site if something is free. Guide is not worth the pixels it is displayed on. It's completely full of generic useless information. don't waste your time I can't believe this has even appeared on here.

I went to London once, it was overrated, overcrowded and overpriced... and they were the highlights of my experience there, never again.

But heat given for the deal anyway.

A friend of mine used to say that the best thing about a short stay in London was the shortness of the stay...

I lived there for two years and found it ok, I was very conservative about where I went and what I did though.

The irony here Boz is that Boz is a Charles Dickens character who made sketches of London.

    Aka crime capital of England.
Friend of mine was pick pocketed of large amount of cash and bus pass in Asda last week after withdrawing from Post Office.
Called 101 and they we're just a message. So she called 999.
Believe it or not 3 Policeman turned up. who looked at shops CCTV.
Today she went to Asda security and they showed her woman with long scarf whom clearly picked her pocket twice, once when thief dropped bus pass on the floor and picked it up
So she went to the Police Station and they said nfa as CCTV footage did not show the woman taking anything . Not knowing she had just seen the shop footage, ie the Police we're lying!
Evidently same day soneone else was pocket picked in Asda of £500. (edited)

We pay taxes to the police, yet they seem indifferent to pickpocketing and the loss of personal valuables. Their inability to verify CCTV footage and address crimes is disheartening. Unfortunately, incidents occur daily in London. When traveling here, it’s advisable to avoid carrying cash or valuable items. The prevalence of contactless payments makes this an easier choice.

Heat added- thanks for sharing !
One of the most well known capitals in the world. so is always going to have problems with crime, high prices, big crowds, etc...
I've enjoyed London a lot more since I've started to venture outside of the usual tourist hotspots (Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Westminster, Oxford Street) - try Bermondsey, Shoreditch, Battersea, Greenwich, Hackney, etc...
