Lifetime offer, currently free. Very good reviews and privacy seems ok.

As well as text, app also generates images. There’s a setting at the top to change the AI model from the default 3.5 to 4.

(ChatGPT costs money, so my guess is that this app will monetised quite soon for new users, so get it while you can!)

Enjoy!

Eric Per Heimer is a one-man serial app developer. Nothing specifically wrong with that but I'd stick to you.com which gives you claude 3 opus for free

It may seem daunting but build and host your own for free with significantly more functionality.

It's £199.99 for lifetime access. Looks like they realised their blunder.

Looks fun to mess around with. It’s already advised me that hamsters shouldn’t be given firearms.

    I’m learning already

    @Frank30uk your own app?

One of those lifetime apps that will be nothing of the sort, likely a scam.

OpenAI charges for API access, which will soon outweigh the cost to the developer, even at the current £199 price point, sure they will take the money and shut down the service before that happens though.

Nice. But how do you stop the hepatic feedback when it answers a question. Very annoying

This is only GPT 3. If you ask it it will tell you. That’s why it’s free. OP please update your post.

“I apologize for any confusion, but there is no "Frank 4 Turbo" or "Frank 3.5" version. I am an AI assistant based on OpenAI's GPT-3 model, which is the latest version available as of my knowledge. If there are any updates or newer versions released in the future, I may not have information on them at this time.” (edited)

Looks like this is GPT 3 not even 3.5 no matter what you select from the top :

“I am not based on GPT-4. I am an AI assistant powered by OpenAI's GPT-3 language model. While GPT-4 may exist in the future, as of my knowledge, GPT-3 is the latest version available.

If you have any questions or need assistance with anything else, feel free to ask!”

Worth noting that GPT-4 will say this, it does not know it is GPT-4, how would it?

The reason such tools that are based on it can report that they are using GPT4 is because that is in the system prompt to let it know, it doesn't know by default, if a developer hasn't included this, it's possible the model won't give you the correct details.

It is NOT powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT. It is "based on" and "inspired by". This literally has NOTHING to do with ChatGPT or OpenAI.

Says “I am an AI assistant based on OpenAI's GPT-3 model. As for the specific version, I am based on the GPT-3.5-turbo model.”

This caused enormous stress to me as I followed the initial comment from the user who stated this was free, as soon as I opened up an account through apple it charged me 199.99 , ironically after doing this whilst the post still claimed a ‘live’ deal ….it then expired. My weekend was one of stress stopping my bank card and getting an apple refund which has thankfully been granted . I would say that whoever posted this initially should really have done a bit more homework on the product to test the free credentials. I didn’t even follow the lifetime link it simply came up with apple purchase of 199.99.
