What part of premium are you looking for? If it is to turn the screen off then use YouTube in a browser. On android phones, Newpipe allows you to turn off the screen, and removes adverts (edited)

If you looking at a YouTube Family sub make sure you have the Family group all setup in this region before starting Sub setup via VPN
I'm almost certain this isn't right. I did my family account via Ukraine & Revolut less than a month ago and I only needed the VPN on to set it up. Nobody needed to change region (including myself as the admin)

I was registered in Turkey but my card expired. When trying to renew it with VPN it says I need to use a payment method registered in the country.
What card are you using ? A Revolut virtual MasterCard works fine for my Indian and Turkish subs
I have tried Curve virtual MasterCard. I don't have Revolut. Will see if that one works
My 1 year renewal was due last week and doing the same thing as last time with location to Turkey didn't work for me so ended up going to ukraine - but can't do yearly sub, it's a monthly
